Online MUT is the absolute worst

im not new to MUT H2H. I’ve been playing MUT since it first released in Madden 10/11. But over the years and especially this year, it’s just ridiculously tough to even want to play online. My record is actually pretty good but I cannot load up a game without any of the following: 

scum kicks 

nickel mug blitz 

Stem Route Glitch 

Im not necessarily looking for a solution. I’m moreso just venting at how absurd online play in this game has become. I just faced somebody who could not for the life of him move the ball without route glitches. I still won but that’s not the point. I just miss online gameplay being fun and not a sweat off.

The Stem Route glitch SHOULD never have been in the game -- the fact they still haven't patched it, indicates they probably have no idea that it was even happening and somehow less of a clue as to how to apply a fix without triggering a cascade of other potential issues or bugs.  We go through this same nonsense every single cycle.  Last year it was pass catching (on both offense and defense), then stamina/fatigue... all of these changes they spent weeks upon weeks trying to resolve, only to ultimately roll them back, reverting all changes.  Absolute incompetence at every level.

Hopefully the NFL realizes this is bad for their brand and makes some serious adjustments to the existing exclusive NFL licensing rights that EA has held onto (and abused and exploited) for the past 20 years.

I’m looking forward to that first patch to see if they stop this route glitch nonsense. It’s absurd. Defending in this game is already a hassle, but now I have to account for f*cking nerds who have no football knowledge to act like they’re doing something while they’re just blatantly cheating. 
 

I could go on and on about everything else that EA misled the audience about in release of this game but I’d be wasting my time.

Sadly, yes you'd be wasting your time.  You have an extremely sympathetic audience over here, but i can only speak for myself.  I definitely would enjoy hearing those grievances, it's MUCH more of a concern when Madden players do not have any issues with this broken, buggy ass mess of a game.  The EA bootlickers are the absolute worst.  Liek, it's okay to be critical of something you love or are passionate about.  If i didn't love this shit, i wouldn't be wasting a moment of my time even thinking about it.  Bleh.

Sadly, EA showed us last year that they give zero fucks.  The whole "make or break year" was almost exclusively about pack sales.  They made sure to tell us how much content they dropped last year and how this year is gonna be even more!  Oh joy, more of the same low effort, constantly recycled promotions with AI generated card art.  The art department used to be one of the rare, consistent highlights of the game -- now it appears they are no more.

Hey I appreciate it man. I’m happy to know that not everybody who plays online in this game is a toxic POS. It’s just crazy to me that the people who glitch like this genuinely think they’re the shit at the game.  
 

EA themselves are the worst of the worst. I haven’t gotten any of my CFB content and I know there are many other players who are in the same boat. But let there be a set glitch or something that causes EA to lose profit, it’ll be fixed instantaneously. 
 

Im eagerly waiting for the day EA loses exclusivity to simulation football rights.

I think I went 1-1 last week in online H2H. None this week. I just don't need that bullshit, I'll sit back and try to stack a few coins while we wait for them to figure out how to fix the Route Stem glitch. IF they know how, which is too be determined. 

Maybe then I'll check it out. Or maybe not. Some of my Legends Solo Battles have gotten a little sweaty. I'd love to play a fair, balanced and competitive simulation football game. Wouldn't that be fun?

Look I work full time and really only get 2 maybe 2 1/2 days out of the week to even play online. But i have not had issues with any of that, my issues are different

you think scum kicking is bad in this game you should try to play CFB 25 online and get back to me. I have had 0 issues with that in M25

i love it when kids run mid blitz, sure they may get a sack or 2 but it’s basically a guaranteed TD on a corner route 

my main issue is DBs are next to useless. Just stand there and don’t do anything when the ball is thrown right at their face

Welcome to the club, Juicy.  No cap (as the kids these days would say), but i've been having some seriously sweaty ass Legends tier Solo Battles.  Had to come from behind to win one late last evening.  It's taken me a couple/few years to finally settle into this stuff, but I'm sick of putting myself through the madness.  It obviously is happening to everyone.  I see professional Madden players who are constantly stuck in these hell games with chumps that have no business "competing" in these games.  What chance would i stand?

For now, i'm patiently biding my time, trying to stack a few coins in the process while I sit quietly in my corner.  I'm probably delusional hoping and waiting that EA will figure out how to fix the route stem glitch -- most of the other glaring bugs and issues have persisted through MANY years of MUT, why would this be any different?  They failed to properly tune pass catching last year and the whole stamina/fatigue nonsense was ultimately rolled back after numerous attempted (and failed) patches.  Uggh.

I just want to sit on my couch and enjoy some NFL "simulation" fatball -- initially i was determined to git gud at the game, to a point where i could legit compete online, despite the pay to win nature of the game.  After all these hours spent/wasted/invested (depending on your personal outlook) in Madden Ultimate Team, well... unfortunately, there just is no fun, fair, balanced and competitive gameplay to offer.  It simply does not exist.  And cannot / will not exist as long as EA retains that exclusive licensing rights with the NFL.

yawn, same post every year.   If you guys hate it so much why even play? it’s the same game year after year after year.  Theres always gonna be nano blitzes, glitch routes etc.  its online h2h its the same shit in every game whether its football or nba2k or something else.  players will do whatever it takes to win, its the nature of the beast.  you guys act like this is something new.  and yes I am gonna run mid blitz all game and stem route glitch until they patch it? why? bc why tf not, Im in legend top 100 and get players and coins in gauntlet every week.  Until EA fixes it which they SHOULD, I’m gonna do what it takes to win.
