Same. I used to love pulling a NAT from some objectives and powering them up. You’d have a great player for low cost, and you got power up passes as well. I also liked if you had a LTD or expensive card you wanted, you could just power up to the level below and still use them way cheaper.

That's disappointing to hear too. Because the game needs more new players not less. But they're not even trying to get anybody new into the game and they're pushing the old guys out by over monetizing the game.
