Subbing players in h2h

Is there  a way to sub players in and out during h2h season games?  If I pause game and don’t concede ppl get mad.  That is the only way I have figured out how to do subs—in the coaches adjustments screen when you pause

Yes, you can sub when you’re choosing your play call. Go to formations and select a specific formation that you are going to use ( Nickel 335, Dime, 6-1 even, etc). On PlayStation you press R1 and it will bring up a picture of the formation with each players Jersey #. Press left/Right until you find the player you want to sub out and select them. There will be a list of players you can select as their sub. It should also show what buttons to press at the bottom of the play call window to help direct you.
