I love the addition to it but when you’re doing your pre snap adjustments there should be at least a second delay before it allows you to switch because way too often I get switched to a corner and randomly pull one of my coverage guys out of position. Definitely frustrating!!
I believe that option is coming in the next patch
They made that an update in college football so should be coming to Madden too :)
The switch stick was such a useless addition. The ONLY way it would be useful is if you could start as a pass rusher and then "switch" to coverage and they intentionally made it so you CANT.
It also seems the regular method of switching is worse. It NEVER gives you the right guy in position.
i actually kinda like it. it makes quick adjustments a skill

The skill of pre-snap adjustments should be in recognizing the offensive scheme’s leverage and adapting to it with the right line and coverage calls. Having a convoluted sequence of inputs completed within five seconds is a real challenge, but this isn’t Simon. It’s football.
Also, when offensive users frequently flip plays or audible to another formation while you’re in man, it doesn’t help that the only reliable option to avoid coverage breakdowns is to reset your play or audible, and now you’ve lost about 1.5 seconds of your tiny window to align and assign personnel.
Pre-play audibles and assignments are not, and never should be, a “stick skill”.

it’s not football it’s a video game, so the user with the faster input time having a slight advantage seems fair to me
If you have the option the game philosophy should lean more towards representing football than an arcade, it shouldn’t really be a question.
Yeah I get snapped onto the wrong person way too often, need the switch delay badly

Which is fine. I get that point of view. If you can’t get them in time that’s on you and that’s one thing but to make your user go from MLB to far right corner at the snap of the ball leaving a wide open receiver just doesn’t make sense no matter how you look at it.

I have to disagree. It’s think it’s one of the best features they have ever put in the game. It makes defense way more fun, it’s almost like having 11 users instead of 1. I didn’t use it at first but once you get the hang of it, it’s really a game changer
The slight delay option for switch stick coming next week in the patch gonna save us all.
How many adjustments yall making on defense to get stuck constantly

Yup 👍
