Im excited for Season 2. I like to play and enjoy the game. Wish it had some of the elements of past years. Like the M17 TotW type of cards that one was upgrade stats for a limited time and only available that week. And being able to stack upgrades on players, not having brand new one upgrade tiers on each player. It kept the value of the lower cards for key players and positions. A little confusing after a few years off but ill get used to it. Until I get banned for normal auction house trading then ill be content living a normal life again for a few years, lol.
Some of y’all are more into mut than you should be sorry had to be said lmao
I'm working. As long as it's good to go by 5:15. I'm good.
They made Jaden Daniel hair long

Awesome 👏
Penix seems really good.
Well, no Raiders this time around so there is no incentive for me to grind this season.
SquishySoldier21 said:Also, on the topic of the season cards, im still aggrivated that they introduced a new sysytem of having to go buy each upgrade separately and such hoping to confuse people. I only have two maxed because i didnt take out a calculator and pen and paper and chart a plan. Never had to do anything like this before and I dont believe it was an accident. It was done intentionally.
Same here, it messed me up for sure not realizing how many season tickets we would get, etc. (and yes I do realize it can be calculated, just didn't think I would have to do that). But I am still looking forward to Season 2, for the most part I have enjoyed the game to date.

Who is older michael penis Jr or kirko chains
I'm predicting soon they'll be charging an extra 19.99 every season for a field pass with slightly better rewards .. they'll be 2 field passes in 1 so you can see the rewards you could've had and how much better they are if you pay every month .
Like cod or other countless games that force in game purchases down your throat from startup, you can always expect a season pass from EA full of low over all bnd's and huge 1000 coin packs,"cough"...
These upgrades take too long to get and I bought an 83 I didn't need preventing me from my 3rd 85ovr...I think this is intended by EA ..

I messed up with that too. I have an 83 upgrade collectable just sitting there.
Couldn’t even make it a day

As a lifelong Patriots fan (5 decades. Yes, I'm old) and a late adopter of Madden/MUT (2017 was my first year playing any part of MUT) I spent my early MUT years grinding and spending and obsessing and doing whatever it took to build the best Patriots theme team I could.
What really helped change my MUT approach was first committing to a Patriots theme team in 2018 (no players other than current/former Patriots), but it was late M24 MUT that really flipped the switch. I was barely logging on each day, doing the absolute minimum to complete daily objectives (for essentially nothing in return) and running the same 3-5 plays on offense and 1 on defense. It was, essentially, a mindless waste of time.
Since I don't play H2H, I have to find ways to challenge myself to enjoy the game. Personally I'd like to see more emphasis on progression of active NFL players as I like to use more current rostered players. Don't get me wrong, there are great Patriots of the past and Ty Law will always be on my team if he's in the game. I can definitely see myself using fewer historic players this year - which will absolutely make the game a challenge as the game moves though it's cycles of higher OVR players/teams.
If you are committed to playing H2H this game, I believe, is always going to a challenge to balance between fun and competitive. Realizing, of course, the competition should be a large part of the fun but when the gameplay is poor then you have to look to other ways to get enjoyment.
After all, this is supposed to be a "game" and the ultimate objective should be fun/enjoyment.
Adore the post.
I might log in to check out the S2 content today, but i might just say fuggit and go about my life. I'm sure i'll check back in before long, but word on the street is that there might be some type of Premium Field Pass coming -- EA is going to do everything they can to extract as much value from this tired, buggy ass mess of a franchise for the remainder of the time that they cling to their exclusive NFL license.
I had a good run, i played online with the top 1% (allegedly) players in the world, managed to win my first Legends tier Superbowl. Our background tales aren't all that dissimilar, although i'm ~half a decade behind you. 2022 was my first year back to Madden after an extremely long break, just casually tinkered with it. Didn't start my first MUT squad until M23 cycle, after grabbing the Deluxe edition of the game for $35 during Black Friday sale. Took a couple months of confusion as i continued to relearn the game, things were overwhelming at first, trying to figure out Ultimate Team.
My brother has been a lifelong Pats fan, but i'm a die-hard 49er fanatic. Still distinctly recall him being sad after that Bears/Pats loss, back in the William Perry days, what was that, 1985? 49ers / Dolphins the year prior was my first Superbowl memories. I originally embarked upon a quest to recreate that magic from my youth, hoping to have Joe Montana throwing to Jerry Rice. Almost made it last year, but that Joe was an LTD and i never managed to acquire him on my main account. The year prior they insulted Jerry by making him a "supporting cast" to the Randy Moss RoH. That still irks me, there's no universe where Randy had a better career than Jerry. Thanks, EA for telling us you don't know ball, without actually saying it out loud.
I had a good run. About to take a deep dive into any patch notes, curious what the community thinks. I'll try to read through these before making any hasty decisions. It's been more compulsion at this point and significantly less fun. I'm open to having my mind changed, but I'm not sure anyone can honestly say this is an objectively good game. Glad folks are able to find some fun, despite the overall buggy ass mess.
peatrick said:I'd love to hear all the ways in which YOU are currently (or have been) enjoying M25. As i stated previously, i'll give anyone that is brand new to Madden (within their first ~100, or so hours of gameplay) a pass, because it takes a little while to see all the shortcomings and glaring warts... but let's be honest, my son figured it out within the first ~ten hours of Madden 22 (our first back after a very long break) -- this is not an objectively good game.
But i'm eager to hear you change my mind. Sure, we all get fired up for our favorite teams/players or whatever, but let's separate personal preferences and pure fandom from quality. It's okay to be critical of the things we love. In fact, as odd as it may seem, being critical of the things we're passionate about is typically how we get actual improvements. Sadly, we're all just pissing into the wind. EA has years, if not decade(s) of feedback that they've been straight up ignoring. I'm not convinced they could make a good game even if they tried (which they are not / have not tried).
But we should all just shut up, sit down... stop thinking about it. Consume, consume, consume -- BUY MORE PACKS.
Does this mean you missed MUT 20?
If so I am very sorry
Most fun madden I've ever played
Free cards were good, you were rewarded for being good and winning (once made 2 mill in 1 night off a 20 game streak and I remember it since it was to buy the team diamonds master), and the introduction of abilities made the game so fun as there were offensive abilities that were broken (like HJ and Evasive) but defensive abilities to counteract it (like Enforcer)
