EA has managed to kill the cash cow that was Madden. This used to be a game that I would play for hours daily. There was always something to do. Yes there were glitches that they at times took longer than expected to fix(unless it was in our favor); but overall I enjoyed the game and loved the team building aspect.
I started out mostly solos way back in the day when we had TONS to do offline(I still remember the excitement when I finished I don’t even remember how many full game solos to get the 99 Beastmode reward). I am an average player, I started testing the online waters. I got to a point where I would win 15-17 games of Weekend League(Champs) on a consistent basis with a fairly good team. I currently have an 84 OVR team, which is decent. Not sure if it’s the Stem Glitching, or what else is out there, but I am 0-25 in my last 3 weeks of Champs. Yes that is correct. I can’t do anything on offense and I don’t think I have stopped 1 drive on defense. My players stand around staring at the sky and are never where they are supposed to be. My QB(I always run a Pats TT with extras where I can - currently at 20 Pats/20 Jets and a few 5s to get the +1 acc)so I’ve swapped between Daniels and now Brady. Both constantly overthrow wide receivers and feel like they are in slow motion when throwing. So I’m at the point where I have no desire to touch any online mode, which now is about 55-65-% of the game, and the only real place th get decent rewards. The solos are scarce and rewards suck. Solo Battles don’t track, Solo season rewards are a total joke. I’m at the point where I question even logging in each day to do the dailies, and the nfl season just started. Normally I would be on grinding whatever I can. I’m very close to just uninstalling and maybe requesting a refund because the game is so broken and unplayable. It’s almost like EAs license is coming up with the NFL and they are saying “screw it, we milked this cow as much as we could, who cares what happens now”. It’s beyond ridiculous that they haven’t resolved the RP/UA/Seaon 1 XP issues(we are in season 2 btw EA) after 1 month, and I’m not sure how you take such a step back in all other modes of the game from where we are at. EA help us a joke too. I’m a “VIP”, whatever that means, and I chatted about the falsely advertised Justin Simmons a while back when he was not in packs. First Agent told me they had gotten a number of reports and were looking into it. Second chat after nothing was resolved, the agent basicallly denied that he was ever in packs(even when I provided a scteenshot), and told that even if that was true, that he is guaranteed to be given, so nothing would be done. He then provided me with the contact info for their legal dept should I want to pursue it further. A week later, I got an email from my VIP”concierge, who told me he reviewed my account and refund the points used during that time and apologized - I guess that’s good because I used the points on a pack and pulled Worthy Thursday and sold for 2 million coins - the only somewhat exciting thing to happen to me with this game. I think I’m pretty much done with EA and Madden at this point, as it is the most boring and un-entertaining game I’ve wver played - I’ve recently started playing Diablo 4 again and if you like that type of game, it’s way more entertaining and rewarding - for free, without always being pushed to spend money to keep up. Sorry for the long rant, just disapppinted that a game that I once loved has been burnt to the ground by corporate greed and incompetence.
