Has anyone thought of starting a petition to the NfL to pull the exclusive license from EA? I have to believe that the NFL does not want their name dragged through the mud by this incompetent company that consistently lies to their customers and cannot produce a consistently playable game? EA clearly won’t care until they lose the billions in revenue generated not by their skill in game producing, but just because they slap the NFL name on a smoking pile of dog crap…….
I doubt it. People like to complain but rarely actually do anything about it. If you start it up I’ll sign.
how would this petition even come across the NFL’s eyes
i’ll sign but doing things the “proper” way hardly leads to results
Show me where to sign
While you would think the NFL would want to "protect the shield" by making sure people's experience with official NFL video game football was excellent or at the very least diverse, the reality is they make so much money from the exclusive license they simply don't care.
An example of this is what they've done with the Sunday Ticket package. They could have single team tiers or sell individual games a la carte, but instead force people to buy every single game available because that option results in the most profit.
Things look bleak but Eric Rayweather put out a video suggesting that exclusivity may eventually end in the next couple years: https://youtu.be/lT858ZM0fxY?si=3zvysnzzei8yDFRh

This. There are a lot of complainers. There are a lot of whales repeatedly walleting out and refusing to actually play a different game. I have to think this is pretty directly correlated.

EA and the NFL are currently engaged in negotiations over the expiring contract, which I believe is due to expire in May 2026, however the final year is opt-in. I think.
I'm obviously not an attorney, nor do I have any specific or first hand knowledge over these ongoing discussions, but NOW is the time to make our voices heard.
Someone needs to come up with a creative hashtag to try and get viral, perhaps including some type of petition couldn't hurt. Nothing can or will EVER improve as long as EA retains that exclusive license with the league.
They'll continue lying to us and laughing all the way to the bank, because quite frankly, EA understands how monopolistic power works. They are literally the only game in town.

Nothing gonna happen. The NFL controls what EA can and can’t do with the game. They know what’s going on and all they see are the $$$$ coming in. They’re gonna leave well enough alone.
