Is placement and accuracy different in squads?

I roll with placement and accuracy playing head to head with absolutely no problem playing by myself throwing absolute dots but EVERYTIME I try a squads game with it I can't even complete a pass. Almost every throw is in the red or the QB throws an absolute duck every throw. Is this just me?
