KissTheRing said:There are plenty of things in this game that you can't reliably counter, constantly running the ball with Vanguards is one of those things. If you're running with Vanguards while always onside kicking, and running some bullshit blitzes, then you're a scumbag, plain and simple. There's no reason to ruin the game for everyone else just because (the proverbial) you want to "win" some random H2H game. It doesn't nothing but show a lack of basic morality and ethics, and it's pathetic. And even if you don't care about that at all, you'd want it out of the game because it kills the game for everyone and players leave.
And yes, how you do things, no matter "how small," show you level of character. It's why you're supposed to hold doors open for others, put your shopping cart in the corral, not dump your trash just anywhere, and you otherwise have basic manners while dealing with someone who's shown you no reason to do otherwise. This is all basic shit society understood up until the last few decades where we started making excuses for people being pathetic scumbags, whether they're some lazy dipshit who leaves their cart in the middle of the parking lot, or someone murdering innocents. Sociopathic behavior shouldn't be protected, it should be actively targeted and extinguished.
I don’t think an insanely competitive individual that’s willing to do whatever it takes to win a video game necessarily means they lack basic morality. There’s people like this in all walks of life, whether it’s video games, work, real life sports. Some of these people are just super dedicated hard workers at everything they do.
However it definitely does ruin the game for everyone else. it’s most irritating when they celebrate about it like they did something skillful after just holding RT and pushing forward on the stick. I feel more sorry for these people than anything, they probably dont win very much at other things and they probably had to wait until May to get a winning record.
