However, i've been back in my beloved San Francisco 49ers defense for the past couple weeks, as it's got Double Mug for heavy pressure situations and Dollar for coverage (or A gap blitzing).  Although I cannot get any of my favorite plays to persist through games, have to basically re-add them each and every single game and it's a huge waste of time.

yes noticed that my dline isnt pinching or shifting properly good to know! just bought mut 25 yesterday so i was confused but will try the 49ers and chiefs defense

49ers is more focused on 3-4 and Chiefs on 4-3 and Big Nickel. Think about your strengths and weaknesses to choose the best playbook for you. I like the alternate 4-6 which is more similar to Chiefs. Some folks use the alternate Multiple D which is a mix of everything.

I like the nickel sets in bucs but they got dollar too so

Honestly niners r pretty good especially with the dolphins bc u can put tyreek at rb

The blocking in this game is absolutely atrocious, so rather than actually fixing their broken, buggy ass mess of a game, they put in numerous of these bad little work arounds, preventing us from even pinching our D-line in certain formations. 

Check out Mid Blitz 0 from Nickel Double Mug if you happen to try Niners D, it's really nasty. Pinch D-line, crash inside and watch you get four defenders versus three blockers. Can win a lot of games with this.

im using the 49ers defensive playbook, 4-3 even 6-1, 4-3 over, 5-2, dbl mug, and dime 3-2. 5-2 is very good inside the 5 vs the run but even 6-1 is better short RedZone vs the pass. 4-3 over is also very good in the RedZone. dime 3-2 and dbl mug for everything else.

I can't even save favorite plays between games, it's really super annoying.  But yeah, kind of EA's style, to announce a bunch of features (typically directly imported/copied from CFB, because EA definitely isn't going to be guilty of doing any actual work or putting forth effort) many of which will never see the light of day -- or what has happened in prior years, they have a decent idea or two, but fail to properly implement it, after months of failed patch attempts, they'll simply revert the game back to how it was from Day 1, because they cannot figure out how to fix the other bugs they inevitably will introduce while trying to add basic features, such as these quality of life improvements, custom audibles, etc.

Happened with pass catching, then stamina/fatigue last year -- i have no reason to doubt they'll muck things up yet again.  That is, IF they even bother trying.
