Last year I showed blitz to get my safeties moved up and then backed off my CB individually with quick adjustments.
Not working in Madden 25. Annoying and don't have to time to click on and do it manually as dealing with quick snappers.
Hope they fix this bug soon.
Even pressing and trying to back off CB with quick adjust doesn't work.
It works in practice mode, but not in H2h online.
I don't think it's a bug... I think EA implemented this to help make offense easier.

My opinion is if they wanted more offense they would be to dial down the pass rush. Although I'm NMS and just started building team, so my OL ain't the greatest rn.

It's similar to the fact that we can no longer switch from Base Align to Man Align to Default Align within a play... that's only available from the pre-play Coaching Adjustments. They continue to take tools away from the defense and I believe it's intentionally to make offense easier... once again catering to new players and casuals.

I really miss man align and base align although if you stay in default you can do somewhat similar things with changing the shell, formation permitting...but it isn't entirely the same and can have some unfortunate side effects, obviously.

Yes, agreed. Another annoying thing missing. If I run match coverage against trips Te, have to manually move corner closer to the TE now. Used to come out in Base aligned and un base align for this. First year I actually spent money on the game before gamepass...not exactly thrilled. Best thing I've noticed is smoother menus.

I think the UI is wrong. It says right stick (or left stick), but its the opposite. It's whatever stick it was last year (its all muscle memory I can't remember w/o the controller in my hand). Even w/ the UI showing the incorrect input, it STILL won't work if you are base-aligned and pressed/show blitz.

I always come out base-aligned to disguise my coverage. Thanks for this tip. Last year everything worked even if base-aligned and globally showing blitz.

...and w/ saying all that, it makes me believe its a bug.
The wrong UI + the ability to do it w/o a base-aligned coaching adjustment makes me want to believe its unintentional. It's the same as the FS can't be put in an outside 3rd in some formations. The UI is showing the wrong input, and when you correctly swap to an outside 3rd, it puts him in an outside third on the RIGHT side of the field (the FS is typically on the left side). I've given up so many TDs accidently when my safety just starts to run dead sprint towards the opposite side of the field. Again, muscle memory of hitting the button w/o looking. Ive basically stopped calling certain coverage swaps on the left side of the field because of it.

I think Ducati hit in on the head...they are trying to make it more friendly for the casuals/new players to be able to move the ball. I agree, its completely infuriating

Because EA likes to fix what isn't broken instead of actually fixing what is.

Fun fact, in all maddens before this one, if you would press down on the left stick it would bring the cb close to the receiver and not actually press them. Just closer coverage. Thats gone now

It is easily one of the most disappointing for sure. I personally really liked having man align presnap because when setting up match coverage it would allow me to press them directly and it played those really well. Without man align this doesn't work the same....at all. Base align in some cases was helpful although I usually avoid it but there were times it was helpful when using audibles and wanting to set up specific timings etc...they should not have removed these for sure.
