Why is this community ok with cheating and exploits?

y'all complain too much. Every video game has a meta that 90% of the communities playing do. 

Using good route combos to create spacing out of tight formations isn't a glitch, that's football. An a-gap blitz and mid blitz has a blocking setup you can use to deter people from doing it. Learn to play the game and stop whining.

If someone comes out and audibles from gun to singleback to get a direct snap to a WR or have their qb start waltzing downfield to cause offsides penalties. THATS A GLITCH, the content creators use their followers and inside sources at EA to get them patched. Maybe people should get banned, but if someone is a loser quit the game and let them be a loser and move on.

What makes you think I cheat? I’m just tired of people complaining about the game 24/7. It’s an addiction. If people got this mad over a board game, they wouldn’t play it. But Madden is addictive. 

If you really believe I cheat, pm me and we can play a game. You can see for yourself, and probably lose while you’re at it.

Personally, I've never had too much of an issue with whatever the latest exploit might be. 90% of the time there are fairly easy ways to beat it. The only exception I can think of is the RPO nonsense from last year. Yes, you can adapt to stop it but I'd mostly just quit out and find a game where I didn't have to bother. It's really not that hard to find plays that counter most of the cheese tbh although why it can't be coded for players to 'learn' and adapt if someone runs the same play over and over I really don't know. They nerf 4th down attempts, why can't they do it in other phases?

This year when I play H2H I find the game more annoying than the players. Bottom line is that it's objectively a really poor game full stop but the worst part is the new "physics-based tackling". It's wildly unrealistic almost constantly and I've now got players breakdancing after tackles? Its fucking creepy. As long as EA stick with Frostbite and just layer new stuff on top of the Gordian knot of legacy code it'll ALWAYS be shit.

If you are still defending EA at this point you're either incredibly easily pleased, have no idea what football is, an idiot or an employee.

People who want formations and plays banned because they can't stop / scheme around them have a skill issue and are lazy. 
There's a reason you go 10-10 in Champs and others go 17-3. If you want to make the case that you only go 17-3 by using "glitch plays" - use them for a week and let me know what record you came up with and dont hide behind "i dont wanna play like that". If using certain formations is what makes people great at the game, do it and make the MCS - good luck. 

This is the dummy-friendliest Madden in years and people are still bitching and whining, wanting to have formations banned under TOS, its actually comical. There are videos out on everything. If winning is that important to you, put in the time to get better. If you'd just spent half the time you're using to throw a fit on a forum to look up how to block mid blitz, which routes and motions kill their alignment, it'd already be a non-issue to you. 
But you dont actually want to get better - you want them to make it easier for you thats the real point. 

This game and its engine are fundamentally broken. You can literally throw 10 balls directly into coverage and will probably only throw 2-3 picks because the AI is so terrible and even if a user clicks on, most of them will be dropped. Who put stem routes in the game and took weeks to fix them because they totally dumbed out Zones + Man ? Would you suggest to have banned people who stemmed their routes when they were still "glitched" ? Would you know want to ban people for stemming Curls which can cause WRs to beat press immediately ? 
These are the real issues with this game that make it unsatisfying and EA has either developed these mechanics and/or haven't fixed them. 

The real "corporate shills" are the ones who'd rather want a broken game thats being policed by its developer to their liking than pointing out and criticizing the developer for putting out an unfinished, fundamentally broken pile of animations that makes for "glitches" and exploidable stuff every year.

I'm an ex-pro who has made an MCS finals and was qualifying for just about every live event when I played.  Also was #1 in the world for the MCS tournament qualifying ladders for 3 consecutive seasons.

2nd - Yes, the double a gap shouldnt function the way it does which you have just made my point about the mechanics of the game that EA has messed up + failed to patch twice now in this case alone. Have you heard of 'two things can be true' ? It applies in this case. The reason Mid Blitz comes in the way it does could be considered a glitch, yes. The fact that there's A a working blocking setup to negate that and a ton of other setups on offense to beat it, makes it a skill issue not a unbeatable "glitch" or even "cheat". 

3rd - Again you're making my point. You want EA to ban people for applying the broken mechanics that they didn't care about building right in. the first place and haven't been able to fix with two patches instead of asking for a game that's cleaned up to the point where Mid Blitz wouldn't be a talking point. Do you still not get how silly it sounds to ask for EA to apply their TOS for glitches and 'abuses' on in game mechanics that THEY have messed up?  

If you're a pro, why are you so wound up about the whole thing anyway ? You of all people should know that most people who get their Mid Blitz beat 2-3 times quit anyway.

Looking at your investment in this topic, even projecting people are talking to you specifically, this appears very consuming to you - might want to talk a step back and relax a little because as others mentioned, It's a game.

the thing that irritates me the most is the license. You wont let another company make a "simulation" NFL game but your Madden game is far from sim.

I do remember exploits in NFL 2k5 as well, but not as bad as all the things we've had to deal with from Madden over the years.

and with all the guys struggling with double mug, try plays with the tight end on a built in delay route, and ID the de/lb on the other side.

as I agree with what you’re saying that the stem route was pretty bad. The problem is that this is going to be in the game pretty much all year and it ruins the entire experience for someone who say has gone the money direction in the game  through the marketplace, or someone who is invested their time with the challenges 

 Friend of mine that has been playing this game way longer than me said “ this goes on every year since 2012  “ and the fact that EA a company that has billions of dollars can’t come up with an idea or simple solution such as causing a penalty if you run  a broken defense like double mug a certain amount of times or any defense in general Is ludicrous 

  I watched  football this past weekend college and the NFL. I did not see one team that stayed in one defense for the entire game yet in madden you can do this. it’s just terrible on a gaming aspect. They’re selling cards to people but then when you go into the game with these cards, you can’t even get a fair game .

If EA just made it clear that glitching/exploiting/cheating would get you banned, it wouldn't happen...but instead you have their commentators on the MCS yelling "screamer" every time double mug glitches through the line like it takes skill to exploit the game.  What a joke.

The Madden community is okay with it because EA has actively promoted it by allowing the "Professional" Madden players to cheat in their tournaments.  Then all the YouTubers started copying them to get popular. Seriously any major YouTuber does the same stuff as every other major and most non major YouTubers.

It gets  promote it enough to a bunch of low skill players and boom everyone does the same thing now, because that's all they know how to do now.

TLDR. EA promotes cheating  and majority of the player base are more than happy to hit a few buttons and pretend they did something.

I have a guitarist friend who hated Rock Band because it was so grossly oversimplified. If you want to pretend to play guitar by playing a piano, hold the guitar sideways, and Rock Band is the game for you.

There are NFL players who play Madden, but no NFL players are making the MCS. That’s because playing Madden doesn’t require football knowledge; it requires Madden knowledge.

Anyone making a ‘git gud‘ argument here isn’t even arguing the point under discussion. The way to win in Madden is, in fact, to ignore most everything you know about football, and just study how to position players on the field to get your players to do what you want them to, and to get your opponent’s players to do nothing they are supposed to.

Totally agree that spamming double a gap is awful gameplay and EA should fix it. The route stem glitch was just so absolutely ridiculous that it was on another level of terrible. Like it was so bad that EA actually fixed it.

My problem with Double A is that it forces you to play a certain way. Yes, it is an exploit. And, yes, you can setup to block the A gap. However, most people are not going to do that. A lot of casuals will boot up the game, play against Mid Blitz 3 times in a row, and uninstall the game after due to frustration.

Simple patches could keep the game alive a lot longer. Instead, the player base is being cut in half before Most Feared.
