I had really settled into my Vikes/Ravens TT so I’m slightly perturbed by this.

Guessing not till January or later at this rate.

you decided which way you want to take the team? i’m not sure about the Vikings but Ravens have a really scarce selection of zone corners when abilities start to get discounted.

I took stock of my roster and moving to Vikes/Eagles just made more sense for me. DeJean, Douglas, Hargrave, Ngata, Lane, and now Goedert all play important roles/fill holes in my team, particularly the first 3. On the Ravens side it was pretty much just Megatronnie, Ogden, and then Hamilton. Queen sold for incoming Pace. Lewis will be replace by Kendricks. Then it’s just depth. Taking stock like that made the choice clear for me.
I was able to sell both tackles for enough to grab Matthews at ”rental“ for LT, moved Lane back to RT with Smith/Munoz at G’a and BND Hainsey at C. I play a lot of zone so the 90 zone combo of Cooper/Douglas is tough to beat/replace. Especially with the Vikes safety trio of Krause/Hitman/Bynum. Hargrave is the best interior pass rusher i’ve come across still and Ngata brings the beef. Lane has been fine for me at RT. Depending how the chems work out later today I’ll run with either/both of Rodrigue/Ekeler/McCaffrey and throw to London/Diggs/Ward/Goedert/LaPorta with McCarthy. Considering that I am terrible, the lineup isn‘t too bad.

Not sure 1 strength and 1 acceleration is a huge deal . I still think 20/20 or 20/ TOTW will be better

That's a fair point

Solid choices. Envious of the zone coverage the vikings get man it ain’t fair lol.
I never tried out the Hargrave card but the 85 Jordan Davis has been a monster for me.

when you’re a washed up NMS player you’ll take any boost you can get lol

As frustrating as this game can be, shifting focus like this actually seems to have improved my team a bit.. or at least made me feel better about my “plan” building and moving forward.
I really like the defense and it’s been a lot of fun. I tried Hitman at SubLB but it wouldn’t sub him down and bring in Bynum at SS. It just kept him there brought in the MLB2. I like the team building and playing the games but I don’t get too intense in playbooks/schemes/pregame subbing every time. So I’m just dealing with Lewis in that spot until the rumored Kendricks card drops. Hitman/Krause deep with Bynum at backup SS and CB3 so in sub packages he comes in outside and DeJean kicks into the slot and having all that zone is great. I don’t see myself replacing many of those guys anytime soon if I stick to the theme. Eventually they’ll get slow but in past experience I’ve found that to be less detrimental in a zone heavy scheme than man. The duo of Greenard/AVG on the edges has been great too. This is my first year running a 3-4 so there’s been an adjustment period personally. i’ve always run a 4-3/46 Cover 3 defense rushing a fearsome foursome and stockin up on the 3 viable cover backers a year. I was concerned about how 3-4 OLB’s would play when they drop into coverage, and maybe it’s adjustments in gameplay since I last played but AVG plays in game just like he has these last 5 weeks. Consistently makes splash plays for me in the flats/behind the line, often times for 6. Pace’s traits concerned me as far as pass coverage 2 but he’s already got 2 pick 6’s so I‘m locked in with him and look forward to a good Kendricks card so I can pair my Short Kings in the middle for the best complete Vikings LB corps I’ve ever run. We don’t have any Purple People Eaters yet but I’ve been using Hargrave for awhile and he’s the closest thing in game to a Randl/Page right now IMO. I actually sold Ngata and replaced him with Davis for a slight 30k coins back in my pocket with more speed on the line but similar most everything else and yeah he’s definitely showed up much better than Ngata did, the speed helps him finish and get down the line against the run much better.
Getting Ingram as our Team Builder (hilarious to me that he’s the “best” Vikes lineman right now) actually had me turn around a sell Matthews for a 150k profit (fortunate timing, I don’t think I’ve ever bought and resold a player for profit before) to make room and I slid Smith to LT, Munoz to LG, with BND Hainsey at C, Ingram, and Lane.
The other nice benefit of this direction swap was building a decent coin stack selling off expensive players and replacing them with cheaper options. I have a bad habit with this game of dropping a few hundred bucks early and then riding that out till i fall off but I’m currently sitting better than I have in years past. I have no obvious “gotta replace“ holes for what I’m doing and enough of a coin stack to feel comfortable for future wants. After all that maneuvering I’m sitting at 30 Vikes, 20 Eagles, and 5 Ultimate Preseason (I swapped Plat Hargrave for UP Hargrave to get some coins and give Douglas +1 catch for now). Hopefully when they surprise us with 40/40 I come out the other side as content as I am now lol.
