I think we're all hoping that EA will eventually take some of these complaints, turn them into proper bug reports, then you know... use that data they've been collecting for decades to actually improve the game. However, that requires some actual effort and knowledge of the existing code-base. Both things that are lacking at EA.
The ONLY thing they care about is pack sales, which is how and why we will continue to get the same tired, constantly recycled, low-effort nonsense. We've all run out of options at this point -- in a true free market we'd simply vote with our dollars and go play another NFL simulation fatball game. Oof.
You're not wrong, quite the opposite, in fact. The game is designed to be addictive in nature, EA knows exactly what they are doing. They've demonstrated they won't lift a finger unless something directly impacts their pack sales, which in turn, affects share price of the company's stock. /sigh
well... I'm torn on this lol...
1. I REALLY can't stand the level of negativity about Madden over the years. Except for the objective issues like EA's greed with packs, no more AH and gameplay bugs; it seems we as human are so inclined to see the glass half empty. I started playing madden in 2001 and stopped in 2005. Then picked it up again in 2021. It's not perfect but I love it and it has enabled me teach my young sons about football, problem-solving skills, finances/investing, etc
2. However I DO hate the long replays of my opponent skewering me while I can do nothing but stew and plan how to hopefully get them back lol
The gameplay was more realistic, if mut wasn't such a money grab, and they get rid of all of the game breaking arcadey abilities and x-factors.

Yesterday I caught a pass behind a defender, and though they gave chase, there was nothing in front of me and I was about two yards away from converting on fourth down. His defender dove, colliding with my player‘s back: My ball carrier unnaturally fell backward a half-yard before the line to gain. One of the more frustrating moments that should never happen.

tbs this year is an improvement on the arcade ish abilities
people were not allowed to spam the same exact plays on offense and defense and actually use skill to win the game. Funny how in draft and online franchise with playcall limit I can dominate but only lose in mut and ppl spamming plays. Worst thing about the game in my opinion
