i don’t. i just get the coins from winning h2h and sell every decent pack pull.

So what we can learn from this discussion is, if you want to make ekstra coins as a NMS player and be somewhat competitive online in madden you have to play a 2nd game called Auction House where you "work the market" and "flip cards". Sounds fun. 

Jokes aside, I actually kind of enjoy this aspect sometimes, but it seems   lame that it feels necessary to do this to keep up with the progression. I guess the alternative is no auction house and thats propaply even worse for NMS players. 20 mill. coins might be a bit excessive, but congrats to that guy.  

My only input to all the excellent comments and tips is that the companion app is your best friend if you want to go down this rabbit hole. Personally i have found that 15-30 min on the phone here and there can get you a nice bonus to your coins.

And just a fair word of warning. Some "market tips" if used excessively might be considered "abusing the auction house" and in conflict with EA rules, although I think you're pretty safe buying cards and turning them into sets to make a profit, as it probably also erases the "money trail" of the card you're selling. But buying cards to not use and only sell for profit, maybe even above average market prices - If EA wanted to they could easily call that abusing the auction house, as it drives up the price of cards in general. I mean it's unlikely EA will ever do this to the average user, but just throwing the rules in to this discussion.

Using bots or abusing the Auction House in any way gives an unfair advantage and hurts the experience for you and other players. It can also negatively affect the affordability of items that are for sale in the Auction House, making it harder for legitimate players to enjoy the game.

Thank you for the nice coin-making tips, Odog123. I will say, however, the whole concept of NMS is not about how much you spend on Madden, but how much more you spend on Madden to gain a competitive advantage. Deluxe buyers gained a tremendous advantage out of the gate with their own three-day field pass. When I saw an 83 OVR Cosmi, I knew I wasn’t playing on the same terms as my opponent.

Since you have to pay for a PlayStation Plus account to enjoy MUT’s H2H features, by your standard there would almost certainly be no true NMS situation to speak of for PS4/PS5 players. (I’m not sure how things work for Xbox or PC.)

Your answer betrays what you don’t understand: The people that have less than one million coins aren’t making coins. You have to have money to invest money. Same with Madden coins. Once you have coins, you can scale your coin-profit efforts accordingly. You also can afford to take a loss, which means your ongoing efforts to sell cards for profit don’t get undercut by a need to price your profit-making cards low enough to sell quickly in order to continue your Auction House efforts. If you can make more coins with patience and close Madden until those items sell, you can generate tens of thousands more coins overnight. Sometimes trying harder means poorer results. Better to turn the game off and come back the next day.

I probably made 40-50 million coins off of Team Diamond master sets and components last year. I wasn’t even good at it until later in the year.

If you have a good enough team to compete, H2H is how I've made a lot of coins this year. I have an 86 ovr team, and the rewards for winning super bowls is crazy. Then you can turn around and invest those coins into further players.

For the NMS players, why do you feel the need to put NMS as your team name?

I just hope more people would be more transparent when preaching, "MAKE SETS!" The reality is that it's very tedious most of the time especially when you're only gonna maybe make a few thousand coins profit each set. That's the thing...it sounds sexy to have a huge coin stack in MUT, but people really don't want to spend the time.  

I'll give you a tip for today/tonight.  I'm guessing people are going to pop packs for the new Gridiron Guardian (GG) cards.  My plan is to get home and keep searching 81 OVR GG cards and 83 OVR GG cards.  81's I'll snag at 6.5K or less, and 83 OVR at 20k or less.  From there I'll build 86's.  If those 86's are selling for 120k - 130k, I'll just sell the 86.  But if the 86's drop closer to 100k or the 89's are selling for more than 500k, I'll build and sell the 89.  If I build the 89, I'll only need 2 Gridiron Guardian 86's, so I'll buy 3 other 86's for around 75K each.  

The quick math of it to make an 89 GG card is roughly 400k-405k:

2 GG 86 OVR = 180k (10 83 OVR's at 18k/each)

3 random 86 OVR = 225k

If I can sell that card for 500k, I profit 50k, if I sell it for 550k, I profit 100k.  If I am able to snag any of those cards listed above for cheaper, more profit for me.

LOL if you think it is hard to maintain a stack of one millions coins, then you have a spending problem, and I do not even know where to start or try to help you loool.

I work a full time job and am married, so it took two weeks to make my first mil. It took about another 3 weeks to get to 5 mil, and another 2 weeks to get to 10 million, but only one additional week to get to 15 mil, and then I finally spent some coins and upgraded my team. 

In summary, the more you have to invest, the more coins you can make. It takes a while to get there (whole process took about a collective 8 weeks), but it is possible. Just requires patience, work-ethic and empracing little concept called delayed-gratification.

I love this. When people ask me why I waste my time grinding coins when I can afford to buy packs; my answer is simple... 

1. For the fulfilment. I used to day-trade forex for a living (I dont need to anymore) and it's amazing how similar MUT is to financial markets and vice-versa. I actually became a better trader by applying some coin-making concepts to forex

2. I MIGHT spend money IF the packs were guaranteed and cheaper. I HATE gambling (it's the cardinal sin of financial markets) and I refuse to allow EA manipulate my adrenaline and dopamine based what i get from a pack I PAID FOR. It's bad enough being disappointed when a free 83+ pack only gives me an 83. Im not to empower EA to give me micro-depression in exchange for my hard earned money lol

PS: My 10 year youngest son is now learning about money and investments, supply/demand/etc by playing MUT

Yea I'm familiar with the math. Btw some of that math is wishful thinking unless you don't mind trying to snipe cards for hours. I'm on 
PS5 where the prices are highest on average compared to Xbox and PC. I think the original issue when someone asks, "How do you make a lot of coins in mut?" sometimes implies they want a fast and lucrative way to build coins. When in reality, there currently is no fast way unless there's some kind of temporary glitch that can be taken advantage of.

I just made over 170k profit (after 10% discount) off of the GG set. It took me a little over an hour (off and on) to do it as I was watching some of the TNF game at the same time.

And I had a bunch of 79s and 81s I've saved from free packs and packs I've earned to build sets for the last 86 OVR GG. I spent 389k total, built 89 McLaurin, and sold him for 626k.

Like I said before, I don't mind building sets for profit if it's not too time consuming and if it's worth the profit. And/or there is an overpriced card to build for easier profit i.e. J. Alexander and T. McLaurin. For my own sanity, I primarily go after the bigger profits rather than building a bunch of sets for a little bit of profit. I don't want it to feel like I'm doing my taxes or doing chores instead of playing a video game.
