EA, MUT and Hurricane Milton

This may not be a popular post but I’ve decided I’m going to say it anyway.

We don’t normally cut EA much slack and most of the time they don’t deserve it but unprecedented times. This hurricane has been truly devastating to the state of Florida  and the people who live there. Among them are many of the people working on Madden.

Hopefully most of us can step outside of ourselves and consider that these are people.

My wife and I have friends and family that live in Florida as I’m sure many of you do. We were lucky but I know there will be others who aren’t.

We genuinely hope everyone is ok and hopefully have a home to return to. Our thoughts are with you and yes that includes everyone at EA.

I'm pretty sure people are aware there have been hurricanes. I'm also pretty sure they didn't have any effect on missing content or issues people have had for weeks and months.

People often times forget this. People can be mid workers but at the end of the day they are still people.

Anytime a disaster happens, people should have sympathy and prayers regardless of who someone is or what company they work for. 
 

At the end of the day it's a videogame and as you get older, you realize how unimportant they are compared to real life events. People lost lives, pets, homes, cars, etc. My uncle lost his home completely so it's definitely happening out there. Most of the time, human beings treat each other like shit. Let's try to come together for once and show support for people? It's ok to be nice.

As someone who has family in Florida who are currently without power, I appreciate the post and sentiment. Many of the site's staff also live there or have family there. On behalf of all of us, thank you.
