I'm truly disappointed in the direction of MUT.

The MUT community is absolutely garbage these days. You can't load into a game without playing a god squad spamming mid-blitz because they have better cards or no football IQ. This game used to be fun, and now it's just a sweat fest and even if I still win most of the games I play I just don't even have fun anymore. I've quietly sat on these forums being a long time and known MutHead user looking at people either agreeing or going along with the way things have gotten nowadays... Do some of you guys really have nothing better to do than suck all of the casual fun and integrity out of the game for a win on a video game? I understand you don't play to lose but this is ridiculous, coming from a former Power 5 D1 scholarship athlete who would do nothing but play this game between classes and when I was stuck in my dorm/apartment when I had nothing else to do. I understand most of the blame is on EA but I see a lot of you guys allowing it because "if you can't beat 'em join em". Hopefully 2k comes out with a football game in the near future because we seriously need some competition so these companies actually start caring about their games again instead of throwing out a half thought out money grab that people put up with because there aren't any other options.

The game is nothing but a gigantic glitch fest with defense that does absolutely nothing. It's not to be taken seriously

I'm having a difficult time right now. They're basically only graduating from mid blitz to FS zone blitz, yay. But it's not about football at this point; it's about exploiting the coding limitations of a lazy developer that has a monopoly.

it comes down to if they can't mid they run another 0 that exploits your blocking even if you keep the RB home. EA doesn't give two shits and that has been clear for years but this is finally the year I let it go, Even if I get the game for free because of NFLPA rules it's still an unplayable game. exploit after exploit that's all games are nowadays smh and I as much as I wish to say it for gaming wise I wish we could go back to covid.

The pump fake garbage is killing me. Then they celebrate after doing it as if they did something special. Ruins the whole game

I like taking sh*t about EA about as much as anyone but the issues you’re describing in OP is a community issue. 
 

We can all act like this is a religion and almighty EA is the god that chooses what glitches are in the game, but be real people, there is no such thing as a flawless game. And wherever there’s any single tiny flaw, the community is going to blow it up into the biggest flaw by abusing it over and over. COD, Fortnite, whatever the hell else y’all play all aren’t perfect either. I’m not here to tell anyone how to play, just pointing out that y’all are your own enemies. Mostly offline players don’t b*tch about any of this stuff.

I personally have zero issues with their being glitches in the game and invested users making use of such things from time-to-time ( I agree with @juicyj8787 - glitches are just part of gaming/coding) .  That said, players that abuse it are annoying.  It's not fun for the person running the glitches over-and-over and it's not fun to be on the other end.  I try to be casually aware of some of those things and come up with counters or adjust to exploit the weakness they inevitably have.

It's just a game and it cost a lot less than almost anything you can do out on the town for an evening (maybe a couple evenings if you're frugal).  If you're in the mood for casual, play offline or with friends - squads I've found is less stressful.

I do enjoy the chess match, problem-solving of the abusive players (I win my fair share, though admittedly sometimes I take too long to solve the problem and end up losing my fair share too).  I'd much prefer to just play a football chess match, so I don't use glitches, and after facing too many abusers, I have to take a break.
 

If you're struggling, and you're over 21, beer helps :)  (won't help you win, but can adjust some of the frustration).

H2H Madden has ALWAYS been like this. I gave up online play in '17 and never looked back.

Madden is great to goof around with against the computer or with friends, but it's the exploits and bugs that get H2H wins.

And if you aren't spending $100 a week on the best cards and running the latest glitch play over and over you will not be competitive in online Madden.

At the end of the day any online competitive game is going to be about what's meta and what can you do to exploit the game the most. If you play CoD or Warzone, the vast majority of any lobby will be running the meta guns/loadouts. If you play 2K, whatever dribble moves or builds or jump shot releases are most broken, will be used. It really doesn't matter. I think it boils down to the fact that so much knowledge is accessible through Youtube and Twitch streams that the meta is more prevalent than ever. The game will never be perfect. And if EA patches mid blitz and FS zone blitz (they should) a new defense will take its place. That's just the way the games work. The best you ca do is just not play it. Nothing will ever be perfect.
