I bought it and it netted me 225 k right off the bat. Not too shabby. If you don't want it, don't buy it 🤷

That's not the issue, the issue here is that EA is making you PAY money to get "premium" rewards that shouldn't be premium in the first place, they should be the normal rewards. Soon they will have solos you need to pay money for and i'm sure you will be fine with it.

My goodness, peoples have such ridiculously low standards. Holy hell, have a little self-respect people, you deserve so much better. We all do. 

I will never understand that line of thinking, I just paid fifteen dollars and received two dollars worth of virtual currency in return, yay!

Some seriously broken logic. People are strange. I'm fine with micro transactions purely for cosmetics, but there should be no such thing as pay to win in H2H games. At least not ones that prioritize fair, balanced and hopefully competitive gameplay.

From what I saw, the rewards for the free pass are very comparable to the rewards from the first 2 seasons. So the third premium reward is indeed just extra.

You say "make you pay" and "need to pay". No one is making you do anything. No game mode or super exclusive content is being unlocked. It's literally just more of what you can get by playing the game. 

If you want to grind instead of pay $, go for it. But some people who have big boy jobs and responsibilities elect to trade $ for that precious time.

The people trying to praise the value don't get or are in denial abt. the point. And therefore part of the problem. 
EA has ya'll exactly where they want you. "It's just 15 bucks" - "Value is actually great". 
The value is def better than for anything else you could buy for 15 $, thats true - but its their way of easing people into being willing to pay for more things, introducing more pay walls little by little and thats whats problematic.
