Best players you're playing OOP.
Other than a drop in their OVR what is the impact when playing them OOP.
Does a loss of OVR really mean anything, are their individual ratings affected?
Looks like they lose their chem as well.

If youre not worried about chems, you can put Tackles at the guard position and put on the +1 pass block and +1 run block strat item (For Tackles) on. Ive seen a few of the comp players do this.
Also, put Corners at the safety position if you have a lot of good CBs.
Play people you want where you want without worry. The ovr drop is cosmetic
The only thing you lose is chems that count towards your total if your players don't have secondary position for where you play them.
I thought in years past players lost 10 awareness when they played OOP without the secondary position. Is that no longer the case?

This is my first year back after a few years away. I remember the awareness drop for OOP as well.
Anecdotally playing ol oop this year has been horrible for me, and I’ve been doing it for years. Tackle to guard particularly has been downright disastrous for me in the passing game particularly with blitz pickups, but doesn’t seem to hurt running.
I never play oop at center for obvious reasons (C awr puts a floor on other OL) which usually mitigates any downside to playing tackles at guard but the performance this year is making me wonder if they changed the algo.
Tillman at FS instead of SS because theres an abundance of SS's.
He's been decent out there.
Early game Alstott at RB was a menace. Not as big of a factor anymore but def. still in the lineup.

You're going to get some random push-back, kids suggesting that oh my gosh OOP = bad. That is simply not true. The OVR rating on cards Does. Not. Matter. It is purely a suggestion, doesn't actually have any tangible impact on in-game performance, it's purely cosmetic -- all abilities and stats remain the same.
Eventually someone will try to tell you that ZAN says: Awareness drops by -10 if you run players OOP, but i have yet to see any evidence that this is true. Be careful what information you trust. You'll definitely lose team chems, but you can sub an O-lineman in at their normal position (backup LT2, for example) then also play them at starting Guard, or however/whatever you prefer.
Make it work for YOU! An OVR drop means nothing. Not now, not ever (at least in my MUT career).
I saw a Youtube vid that showed blocking behavior change with OOP players on the offensive line. This could be from a decrease in individual players awareness, or it could be an overall awareness for the whole line. Who knows.
I do suspect when you play someone OOP their awareness drops 10 points. Why do I believe that? Because that’s how it’s always been and EA doesn’t bother to change things, even things that have been broken for 10 years. Now, does that awareness drop actually matter at whatever position, that’s a whole other pile of mystery.
