CNIZZOTE made a solid point—having a better team doesn’t guarantee winning. I recently went 18-2 and 15-5 in Champs with just an 86-rated team. However, the discussion wasn’t about whether the game is 'pay to win' (which I don’t believe it is), but rather my personal observation that there seem to be more teams around early in the year that one would consider a "god squad". Teams that at least in prior years I'd argue would not have been obtainable without buying a lot of packs.
Definitely not the vibe i'm getting from the posts. Nms is very viable this year, and stat maxing is not as important as the community makes it out to be. Scheme and skills is above ovr tbh

If MCS pros with the best minds and team can’t generate stops in this years game, how can an average joe with a subpar team compete with a meta squad running similar concepts.
This game sucks nobody except whales and sweats are playing it. More people are playing 24 on the psn than 25 and it is only 2 spots ahead of 25 on Xbox. It’s a dead game.

I am NMS, I started with Madden 16 and have been NMS to this day. For the past couple years I’ve been running a Packers TT, currently I have a nearly maxed TT and 3m coins. Also have won 3 Superbowls In a row in legend league, so NMS is definitely possible.

What skills exactly? The game is full of glitches and animations that trigger depending on how the game is going. How can you have skills in a football game that literally has no defense?

While I had heard of legislation from various countries regulating video game microtransactions, I didn’t realize there were places in the world where residency dictated such a low ceiling for potential as a Madden gamer. At that point, your only chance to win in head-to-head in the higher tiers of competition is to lean hard into glitches and cheese.
Imagine having to buy a game and then spend money to be able to play it. Ea needs to give up the license this game will never be "good". They care more about pack odds than making the gameplay mechanics actually make sense. I dont care how much you love mut or football this company needs to be boycotted, but it wont because of the fan boys that care about having a pay to win game.

I’ve spent $50 and have an 88 ovr team and only $450k in the bank. im not saying that you can’t get a decent team with NMS, but you have to open packs. Good packs… and get very lucky pulls. Apparently telling everyone that your NMS and have a great team and millions of coins is some kind of badge of honor. Whatever makes you proud I guess. When I hear NMS, I know what kind of person I’m dealing with. Just nod, send him accolades on his achievemen and move on…
I was NMS but had bought the Madden/ College Football bundle and just spent some of the Madden Coin for the Season Premiere Pass. For most part, I enjoy the challenge of making coin in MUT (much more than the actual game). However, my whole team is only BND so far and is good enough that my son is able to win online more than he loses.

You are soooo wrong on this. Just because you have trouble generating coins doesn't mean everyone does. Working the AH is it's own game. I made 1 million in coins yesterday AND added 89 OVR David Andrews and Kevin Zeitler. But I need guys like you to buy packs so I can buy cards for cheap.
