When did we all accept rentals are the best we can do? Why not get paid to use cards? I’ve had some success with this and replicating it but I need a new challenge to get back into MUT.
THE CHALLENGE:
I want to see how long it takes me to get an entire competitive team in the black. I’d like your guys feedback on this challenge, the rules and any other ways to improve it.
I will buy an entire competitive team from scratch. I will record each price paid and the total price paid for the team. The goal being to make coins off of the players I use. While maintaining that competitive level team.
I will keep a running tally for total cost of each card, each position, offense, defense and the team as a whole.
THE RULES:
-Nothing outside of the coins used for the initial purchase may be added to the team. Should I add a few million additional coins at the start? Just so I don’t potentially fail instantly? The team and its value are completely separate from anything else on the account.
-Exception I make to this is training for team chems, X factors and abilities. Only because it’s not worth the complication and ultimately has little impact on the experiment.
-All cards must be purchased through the auction block. At the start of the experiment If I already own a card I intend to use I will estimate it at fair market value. What I could purchase it for at that time.
-No BND cards. No free cards.
-I may use one team captain on the team. I may switch my team captain as needed. C’mon it’s one little thing
-Cards may be sold on the AH or QS for coins. I feel like if I’m not including training I spend on abilities then i can’t QS for training and finesse a way to make more coins that way. What do you guys think?
-I can’t do anything like sell off a bunch of cards, use those coins to snipe or do sets and then rebuy the cards I sold off. This isn’t about making coins that way.
-I can sell, rebuy and replace as necessary. As long as the team continues to meat the standards of a competitive team.
-A competitive team I’ll define as within 3 overall of the god squads and no obvious holes.
-It must include at least 45 players at all times. Not sure about this number but I intend to start with a team I would typically field. Including some players who are only specialists and some out of position players. Should I have a set number to start?
-I can’t be outside of these parameters for more than 72 hours and can’t play if the team doesn’t meet the parameters.
-Considering adding a lions theme team to it but this is already gonna be hard. Having some difficulty deciding how I should decide which players to pick. Just making the decision based on values and what I believe will be able to turn profit on would obviously be the easiest
-Backups can’t just be low overalls.
I expect to fail at this a good bit. I may likely end up failing and restarting several times. Hopefully learning and getting better each time.
What do you guys think? What am I missing? What should I tweak?
Thank you in advance for your feedback
