Is playing solo battles worth the time ?

Good day, everyone  

So I was trying  to go after some of the objectives for the season as well as the unstoppable energy rewards and I figured I don’t want to go through the headache of matching up against cheese players online so I figured why not let me try solo battles and at the same time watch the  commanders vs the  Eagles , I put about 35 minutes into it. Running up the score on rookie mode scoring 42 points in the first half feeling pretty happy about the things. I will be looking forward to as far as the objectives go once the game ends to then suddenly get a “EA disconnected from server“message.   

Now this is not the first time this has happened, which is why I’m asking the question. Is it even worth playing solo battles knowing that this is something that could possibly happen every time going  into this mode? 

I just wasted 35 minutes . Not a single stat  counted . I don’t get that much time in my day so it might not be a big deal to some but to me I feel like it’s a letdown.  Was wondering out there what do you people think about this mode?

I would try solo seasons, at least at the end of the 31 games you get 3 Red zone packs, plus they're only half games.

solo battles is only worth it if you play 11 games on legend, chew the clock, score once in the first half and then chew to end the game and be done

Yes, you could be right with this theory, but I feel like every time I start running up the score then  all of a sudden there is a drop or risk of that happening. I’m beginning to wondering if it’s something to do with running up the score, maybe that the game possibly does it intentionally I’m not online versus anybody or in a room with 16 + people I’m simply just playing the CPU. 

I don’t understand why every time after so many games if you are in a game for so long running up the score you get a DC

there is zero reason to run up the score or try to place high on the leaderboard or even play on high difficulty if you dont want to. nothing extra is gained from it. you get the same packs for hitting each tier all the way to legend. its good way to mindlessly grind stats for field passes without the sweat factor and earn some packs along the way. once you reach legend you can move to solo seasons and do the same thing if you still dont feel like playing against humans. for both modes I just chew clock through while watching youtube or whatever and you dont even really notice how much time it takes. again, not the best rewards, but there ARE rewards and its a nice break from online play.

Yea if you’re playing on rookie I would say absolutely not. Solo seasons would be your mode for that. However, if H2H gets annoying or frustrating (it does) playing solo battles on All Madden is the most fun CPU game MUT offers. It’s challenging enough to not be a bore and gives you real opportunities to master plays at a high level. Clostest thing I can find to actual football simulation.

If you can get it not  glitch out. Or play all of them same day

With the introduction of Solo Seasons for XP spamming, we no longer need solo battles. The games are too long and the rewards are ass and nonexistent.

Before you log in to actually play, i highly recommend entirely closing your Madden game client and restarting it from the main PlayStation menu.  For me, personally, i often find that EA's servers will bug out, especially during first login of the day.  This tends to happen in a variety of game modes, something is really wrong with the coding, the sessions get "stuck" for lack of a better term and your game will think you're on yesterday's events / objectives.

Closing and restarting the game tends to fix these, but you have to be very careful if you are trying to grind stats, especially upon initial login for that day.

I'm not sure the Solo Battle rewards are worth it, even if you grind out to Legend tier, it's only liek a handful of packs, most of which are barely pack trash.  If i'm lucky maybe i'll pull an 87 or something for the week.  It doesn't hurt, but it's not going to make either of us MUT rich.

If you're just trying to finish the stat objectives before end of season, at least for stuff that works in "Any game mode" you can go into the Most Feared Solo Challenges, check out the Madden 22 version, you'll start from the 10 yard line and can put it on easy mode, heave up a bomb for 90 yards and a TD, rinse + repeat.  In about ~30 seconds you can grind this out, making the offensive stuff dead simple.

Personally, if i'm grinding Solo Battles, i almost always play on Legend tier to start the week, then as i near the max (250,000 points per week) i go back to Rookie and just grind whatever requirements i may be missing.  YMMV.

I finished a Solo Seasons Super Bowl yesterday, and still had the option of a quicksell apart from packs or a Most Feared Scary Pack.

I’ve more-or-less abandoned Solo Battles. As stated elsewhere, the rewards just aren’t worth it.

I just do solo battles to grind for stats. Not worth my time to play them all for mid rewards
