Just watched my fs sit still and let a badly thrown easy pick go right over his shoulder. Fs didn't move or anything. Same fs in a different game is playing lights out with 3 picks and reacting like the old muts 91 zone meta. A player should play and react the same way every game since their traits and attributes don't change, but with rng your team will play bad one game and lights out the other.

Yes lol. At least for the most part on offense you can do more to control the game yourself. Good defense relies heavily on the ability to switch stick this year. I agree with you though. I really think skill based matchmaking and broken ai has hurt video games all but entirely since it started to become a thing.
I hate saying skill-based matchmaking doesn’t make Madden better, but I know that when I outplay the first tier(s) of competition, I hit a wall of NPE sweaty nonsense and eventually get demoted back to the tier where my opponents lack either Football IQ or an up-to-date knowledge of the highly effective Madden glitches.
It's never been as worse as it is this year.
People throw right into coverage, the ball basically goes at the defender and they dumb out. You can even perfectly user, press catch and your player just wont do something.
There's so much more randomness that takes away from skill gap and competitive gameplay.
I've never seen it this blatantly visible. Run game is another great example. Sometimes there are these runs where your entire line and db's all get absolutely locked and your opponent houses it. You can basically tell as soon as the HB gets the ball that you wont come off a single block. This happens even if all or most of your matchups are favorable with regards to the respective ratings of the players. It appears to me that this stuff also happens in streaks (tin-foil-hat alert) where after you've beaten anybody and it almost felt too easy at times, your team just breaks down and you start giving up things you wouldn't otherwise despite making the right adjustments etc.
Now before these braindead 'make an MCS then' comments come out of gramps' cellar, obviously there is still a skill gap in this game but even competitive players talked about losing game to ppl they wouldn't have lost to before.
Im the best example myself. This is the first Madden I've made the Top 100 and won 16+ in consecutive weeks and its def not because I'm great at the game.
I will win 18 games in Champs and a couple days later lose 4 in a row in Seasons to people who run random singleback, chew clock and break 3 runs in a game against 7-8 men in the box.
Yall are lucky to have a good connection.
Be thankful forr that. ...
And, honestly,, I watched the MCS and was not close to impressed. They dont know defense and it shows..
I mean streak/post with a comeback route? cant handle anyone
This is the way is goes boys....
Grab your balls
I met Joey Kocur at a local bar...hands were like a catchera mitt...
It has drove many good players nuts.
Kmac, Dubby, Skimbo. Bobby V?
It's sad. And it said that humans are trying to more you and mystery accept it....
You want some stories?
Ok....because I can be that guy...
So...LeBron James....trash ....
Don't get me going, guys....

I agree with all your points. Next patch hoping some things get improvement and changes are made. This the only online game to where I feel the game is actually cheating me or cheating my opponents on the regular.

September I pulled off 14 game streak netting 2 superbowls along the way. That same week I lost a total of 23 games in a row. Couldn't win anything in seasons or mut champs combined. My opponents called the usual same plays but my players weren't reacting to anything. When I was on a hot streak they played lights out. These cards shouldn't be having games to where random drops or bad passes straight to the dbs happen when attributes don't change.
