Pause Glitch

I'm still not sure how this glitch even happens but usually after a touchdown or an incomplete pass some virgins know exactly when to pause to get the infinite pause screen this has been a glitch in Madden for as long as I can remember playing online how is this still a thing

What game mode were you in?  I've only noticed this during PlayStation tournaments.  What a frustrating buggy ass, inconsistent mess this game is.
