How did we go from 90-91 being the top cards to chase after .....all the way to 95?
I thought it was a mistake when mutleaks showed it, BUT NOT, EA WAS SERIOUS

Hell even the S4 field pass players can only be upgraded to 94 ovr but that won't be possible for a month towards the end of season four so being able to get 95s now is just dumb lol
It'll completely tank the value of any current and upcoming full legends/AKA/TotW/program players and LTDs for the foreseeable future
Good day
I will say this with the way this game has been this year and the patches that were required to “fix the game” yet still lots of things not working properly and then to put 95’s in the game this way and see the price that is required for these cards kinda is a slap in the face to the average player . Think about it, most of the people that play this game are not going to be spending that amount of money knowing there is more promos to come such as the blitz promo , Christmas and the playoffs
it just wouldn’t make any sense for the average person to spend money on these 95’s
This was a bad move on a game that is failing They’re actually going to lose more people on player engagement. I see nothing good in this move by EA

It doesn't matter. It will make people spend even more money just for a chance at a 95, that's what this community does best and EA knows it which is why they do things like this. You only do these things if you know you can make a profit and instead of letting the 95s rot, people need them on their teams so they can get their adrenaline rush. MUT is a sickness for a lot of people.
Incompetence.. just coming back to mut and seeing how downhill its gone in such few years without any progress, innovation and greed.
Worst part is i work in a same corportation, they make the dumbest decisions all the time because leaders want to mark themselves without even understanding their own customer base.
IMO… TD comes down to 3 issues. Theme teams, Packs not being bought, abilities
It’s so easy this year to make hybrid theme teams. Just with the cards we have now (3x TDs, Captains, 32 Team cards) you can almost build a 2x 20/20 theme team just with your bench. It’s probably holding people off from chasing new cards when their speed is equivalent. Only going to get easier with Stocking Stuffers and more TBs. Why upgrade when speed isn’t an issue or abilities
Packs have been trash this year. whose chasing legends, LTDs have been close to a mill, TOTW didn’t even have packs for multiple weeks, expensive packs for 3 cards. They’re just not making their money. especially with the user base split between NCAA & MUT. They need a chase item during blitz. 100% be a 92/95 offer that will be the highlight of the event.
For years the community has screamed about getting abilities under control. This year they have by not updating the ap limit and having xf be abilities. Each their own on that topic (we need them to have the game function properly but the tuning was the issue). If they won’t push out cards with cheaper abilities or raise the limit, they need a need chase to keep people upgrading (Theme team reason) so behold the 95s.

To get the 95 right now you have to spend real money and hope you get a good pull. The pack does not guarantee you a 95.

I don't like the move by EA, they should have released a set for you to get the 95 you want. Maybe exchange 5 92's and 1 92 team diamonds?
So I come from a perspective that I think a number of us share - where we played MUT together with our sons. My son - who's now 17 - and I started playing MUT in 2019, because it brought together two things we liked a lot (gaming and the NFL), and it was more about building a cool team of real players than it was about whether we ever won any Weekend League games.
He stopped playing MUT two years ago (he plays Franchise online with his friends) for three reasons. First, the card collecting aspect was killed with the increased prevalence of points-based packs (and in a lesser way, the killing of the trade block). Second, the toxicity of the community. Third, the staleness of the programming.
I mentioned the Team Diamonds debacle yesterday while I was hunting 85s to build 87 TBs, and he said "can't wait til we can play Civ VII together (in February 2025), cuz I'm glad I'm not playing that crap anymore." So yes, a 17 year old told his dad he's wasting his time on a bad video game. And he's right.
