Look, I can go on for hours about how EA is essentially setting up two tiers of classes with the way they are releasing cards this year. It's essentially the elite players that make coins at a rapid rate just by trouncing everyone in game and those who spend thousands a year versus the other 98% who spend anywhere between 0 and 200 dollars a year over the cost of the game, with the 2 percent being the only ones able to load up on top end cards. But it's also a mistake in calculation by ea, because the 98 percent actually makes more money for them through sheer volume, and I think anyone but the silliest among said 98 percent of the leftovers are finally getting sick of ea serving us plates of dog doodoo and are cutting them off.
But there is hope. The team diamond sets are actually extremely profitable because of one little thing that they probably put in for the whales who duped up on tokens they bought. There are two token exchange sets, one you can do twice for free, and one you can do an unlimited amount of for two 84s. That means that instead of getting a little profit or breaking even on the top end cards and then losing coins that are baked into the value of the boss, you can just do the best ones over and over again for the low price of two 84s (as of the typing you can easily get them for 18k on ps, adjust for other systems).
Now, some things to keep in mind when doing this method.
1) you don't want to flood the market yourself, so instead of just doing the best one over and over again I would do the top five or six at a time.
2) EA can yoink this set at any time, so make sure you are exchanging as soon as you are done. you don't want to wake up with 20 raiders tokens only to find out the set is no longer there lol. Exchange for the cheapest ones first so if it does get pulled before you are done at least you have mostly the good ones left to do.
3) some tips about actually doing the sets-
A) 87 team builders are what you need the most of, because you never want to buy the 90 unless it's around 300k (ps, adjust for other systems). you can make them easily for 280 to 300k. Making the 87s is also cost effective, but sometimes you will get a flood of them on the market for cheap enough to just snap them up. Use 86s to make the 87 team builders because you need 85s for the team diamond sets and they are about the same price.
B) 83s and 85s are the most important non team builder set pieces. the 80s are easy and cheap because you only need two per, but 83 and 85s fluctuates a lot more in price, probably because you need 4 for each set. So, buy in bulk when the price is right.
c) 86 teambuilders also always come down, to a good price (30k for ps, adjust for other systems) and it is usually NOT cost effective to make them in sets.
And that's really it. You can only do each one of eli and peppers once, so spamming it isn't a thing, but i made around 5 mil profit just doing one of them, and i don't have the energy to do it again even though I really should.
