By everyone’s logic, he should post here and complain because his good cards got beat by bad cards. But that isn’t what happened and that’s never what happened.

For sure. I can see that. And my point was just that, people will always pay to get ahead. EA would be dumb not to sell to them. That said, no matter how good the cards are, the boost will only be so big if they fail to learn the game. Some of the easiest games I’ve played have been against top cards, and some of the heaviest beatings I’ve gotten are from ”mediocre” cards. 

Thats why you see two different arguments about EA. Half the people complaining about people buying teams and half the people complaing about “bad cards” beating them. The people complaining about ea selling teams are the people whining because they feel entitled to cards that aren’t theirs. The other half are complaining about DDA and just haven’t figured out the game yet. Both sides would rather blame EA than themselves.

That is completely fair. I’m def not knocking that pov. It’s far from perfect. I just came from 2K. Comparatively, EA makes really fun, perfectly fair and competitive games lol. So I just see some of the complaints differently. It  could be so much worse man. But like I said, to each their own on that. Just giving my perspective. For whatever it’s worth to whoever it’s worth.

Oh god yeah, I'm crap and my 91 overall team (is that good? Seems decent) gets me absolutely nowhere. Some absolute nonsense crap happens and you lose games because of it but it's bad luck with rng, not some EA puppet master deciding it's your time to lose. They can't even code the promos and auction house correctly, no way they're capable of running a handicap scheme. Truth is, on the 'competitive' game style there really isn't a huge difference between the cards. If people are honest with themselves, they get as many breaks in their favour as nonsense, they just don't see it that way by and large

You didn’t play a guy with mostly 95s and if you did you would lose . Also you didn’t pick him off every drive until he quit

You are absolutely right. I made it all up to dunk on teenagers on a madden forum. I have nothing else going on in my life. I‘m unemployed and live in my mom‘s basement. This year I’ll be 45 and I’ve still never even had a girlfriend or kissed a girl. It would all be worth it if I could find some teenagers and dunk on them. I was so desperate to dunk on those teenagers that I made up this crazy story that there was a guy who paid a lot of money for his Madden team but wasn’t very good at the video game. I should’ve known no one would believe it. Everyone who spends a ton of money on Madden is super good. Stupid. I just want to say I’m sorry for lying to everyone and to let them know that Joshuatr101510 was the supersleuth who uncovered my poorly thought out,  series of lies. Thank you.

If you are one of those people, stop for a second and think about it. The reality is, the shiny cards you want can only do so much. If you understand the game and play an effective strategy, you’ll beat every team.  There is no ability out there that will correctly position a seam route in the soft spot of a cover 4. There is no stat that will help you if you aren’t playing the correct zones at the correct zone depth. Watch the professionals. All kinds of pre snap adjustments because THAT is what will win the game. A speedy receiver or a stalwart D lineman is nice, but not game breaking. 

Yes it’s annoying to have to learn this much about football to have success in game. I think a lot of people are forgetting the very nature of sport is competition. If you don’t want to get that serious about a video game, I completely understand. It’s not for everyone. That said, you can’t willingly walk into a sauna and complain about the sweat. This is what competitive online gaming is across all genres. It’s time to make peace with it.
