I am getting back into MUT for the first time since S1 and have really no clue what to be doing or what to expect. I have all solo challenges available to me so whatever BNDs come with that (Please recommend players). I typically join around christmas promo since that’s my favorite time and easiest time to play so I am wondering what I should be doing first to start on the right foot. I am NMS and have little to no coins at all. So any recommendations are welcome. Please do not leave “don’t play” comments. I enjoy football ultimate team modes every year and like playing from Christmas to MLB the Shows release date so I want a good layout to start with tomorrow. Thanks!
Well if they are still available to you try to get the blitz challenges done before they go away. The blitz boltz conversion to coins might be bad but its still free coins.
AKAs gets you a free 91 JJ Watt, Amon Ra, Ted Hendricks or 90 Deion. Legends gets you a free 92 night train lane or alan faneca.
Unfortunately this year they have been really bad about giving out free champions. All the other solo challenged will have some 85+ BND type rewards though and if you are lucky you might get something decent from there.
Solo seasons is super easy, the rewards aren't great. It is great for stat padding to get field pass objectives done though. If you don't mind tedious low level coin methods you can get a ton of low golds from playing seasons, use exchange set those for lions, eagles offense or 49ers, patriots defense and sell for 4-5k.
Solo battles if you can win 12 games on legend the rewards are slightly better.
I'd stay offline until your team is around 88 OVR.

Thank you very much for this reply! I do not mind the tedious grind in the slightest. I enjoy seeing my team slowly build its way from the ground up. Just this year might be more difficult since I am doing the same with CUT. Also, it’s not just this year with the champions it’s been like that the last couple of years so that’s okay. I will grind out the season passes after I grind out the TOTW, AKA, and Legend challenges. I will also grind any blitz stuff first knowing it will go away. Any BND options I get will go to my O or D Line since I would rather use budget beast skilled players until I build a good coin stack. I also have 90ovr Jayden Daniels to carry me through solos. I will start doing the weekly solo battles grind then eventually go into H2H modes once my team reaches a little bit below “META” since I am a decently skilled player. Thanks again.
legend solos is the fastest way to a free champion

No doubt. Should be able to get the 25 tokens needed in about an hour.

Yeah, if blitz challenges are no longer available tomorrow night this will be the first challenges I grind. Gonna hold the pack until UL releases just because I don’t want to have a 92 OVR card when my team won’t be fully assembled for at least a good month (aiming for end of christmas promo). If not that then definitely by TOTY I want a full team.

Even last year they gave us 1 free champion for the longer field passes, which wasn't great but it was something. Now we don't even get that. We just get a bunch of 81+ or whatever overall they choose but the odds on those are so bad. We all know it really just means an 81 lol

Yeah, hopefully they start making it similar to the season of boom promo again where you could get two decent odds 82+ BND packs. I got lucky and pulled two 85 champion BNDs. Granted it was two Mike Evans’ but the point still stands. EA every year seems to make it lesser and lesser what they reward you for offline solo grinding. Everything is become streamlined into H2H or House Rules.

CUT seems to have great odds with the BNDs, I don't mind that because bnds, especially at skill positions become irrelevant really fast. BND rewards aren't really that great they should have better odds
Most feared solos were super quick, plus aka and legends will give you good ones like law, deion, sun god, etc

Yeah CUT is definitely better for that. I started CUT yesterday and just rolling the 10K training packs and buying BND packs with my pre order points I got to an 89 OVR team with 92+ at every skilled position. It’s definitely the better BND model imo.

I haven’t been able to log on yet but I will definitely put the solos I don’t get a BND champion from on the back burner. I’m more worried about getting BNDs and field pass progress before going through older promos. I will get them done eventually though. And sadly all my BNDs will either be lineman or the pack will be held (legends). It’s not the sexy pick but I feel it is the smartest pick.
