Thinking of making a bears theme team but don’t know if destroying my current lineup would be worth it
I think if you want to make one 20/20 you should. 40/40 for me is just too much. I like UT to add a variety of players, and don't want to feel forced to only play w/ a specific team, even if it is my favorite team. I can play regs for that.
With the S1 cards getting every chem, a few freebies along the way (TB solos, Captains, Suh/Taysom, etc), you don't really need a lot to get to at least 20/20. Find what players on your roster you want to boost up, and you can fill them pretty easily.
I've never really been a theme team guy (few promo teams the past few years), and even I have enough for two 20/20s (BUF/SF) without really trying.
They are making them teams the next move bc of motivators and 40/40
If you have a favorite team, make one and get it to 40, you get +2 speed, +2 accel, +2 str etc… it shows with a 40tt, i recommend it buddy

Yes, now that you can get +2 SPD from running 40/40 Bears theme team, it's almost certainly worth it. I just invested a ton of time rebuilding my squad, now I've got a dual 40 Niners + 20 Jets hybrid theme team. Managed to get my Manti Te'o up to 99 ACC ("only" 94 SPD), he's an elite tier loop blitzer at this point, IMO.

I've always been a fan of theme teams. For me and the way I play I'd rather build my Patriots team throughout the year - on the VERY rare occasion I play online (to beak up the occasional offline monotony) I don't care if my players are outmatched. I'm not good enough to win with a God Squad so it really doesn't matter.
Build what you want, play how you want and enjoy the game as much as you can.

since you are running 40/20 give manti teo the jets chem for his 3rd team bucket and you’ll get +1 more speed
I run 40/20 pats/9ers and my Teo has 95 speed :)
IMO only a 40/40 is worth it. Outside of having one of your Team Captains Maxed out or the outdated Rookie Premiers, I don't know of any cards than has multiple team chems active. Having a 2 or 3 team TT really just benefit that one Team Captain (most likely Aeneas Williams or Manti Te'o).
I am good with just having 1 TT 40/40 for the +2 speed. Now it's "easy" to add the Weekly TOTW or upcoming Zero Chill Theme Team without having a bunch of mediocre cards on the roster to get the multiple TT.

Thank you, i have done exactly that -- prior to this week i was running 49ers/Jets/Lions, but reconfigured. Appreciate the pro-tip. I was a bit late to the party on the sheer genius of split team chems. Initially had been using/wasting Team Captain tokens on my placekicker, because i figured being able to boot 55+ yard field goals would win me a game or two.
I must have gotten my math slightly off -- counting to three is hard. 😉 Definitely 95 SPD, 99 ACC. He's not Pat Tillman, but i think Acceleration is equally (if not moreso) important on pass rushers, to shed a block and get up to speed quickly. No regrets. Bang bang, baby!
My brother is a life long Pats fan... Tony Collins is a family friend, dear ole Dad still golfs with him from time to time.
