Your middle paragraph kind of is his point I think. Im not agreeing or disagreeing on just how much that alone impacts it, but i think hes basically saying, people should stop doing that or EA will just keep doing what theyre doing, if not continue to get even worse.

Some people are so invested in this game that they NEED to have each of the top cards every week or else they will wither away and die.

I never said you made the post. I used your share sentiment and how OP could’ve just handled the situation.

Without Whales these card would be 3-5 times of the price they are now .

I can’t afford them either way 🤷🏼‍♀️  but all EA would have to do is lower pack prices and slightly increase the odds

That's 1 of the things I like about NBA 2k. You can get a 95-96 ovr in September & that card is still relevant in June. I've actually been enjoying 2k more than Madden this year, although it does have it's rage inducing moments.

I agree they do these to create bubbles but they have added more plat offers and are offering a higher coin to dollar ratio than previously. If the plat offers were exclusive to the zero chill bundles I’d be more inclined to fully agree.

Today will be a day we get a lot of questions answered going forward with zero chill. Today’s release has a good amount of cards. The offers today will play a big role in determining that bubble and helping our supply issues. This is what most of us have been waiting for right? More info/data before making a move? I’m not sure zero chill releases are going to be the move. Merry mix up might be.  For the most part though we will have to wait until Christmas for that bubble to pop and our supply issues will certainly be corrected at that point with 28 players being released that day. Between that and January 9th we will see most of the players that are being used now and many that haven’t been released yet lose significant value. Good news LTD prices should go back down too. If EA has intentions of returning our economy to a more healthy state that is.

I guess this is a decent temporary monetization model just before the end of the fiscal year if you are desperately trying to get some more revenue in. EA probably fits that direction currently but this model also pisses off and alienates their customers because it’s built around taking advantage of us. Which sounds on par for an EA cash grab and how a lot of us feel most of the time. Also it’s big part of the reason why MUT is in the state it is. Yes EA the way you and your economist are managing the MUT economy is making people not want to play your game. If they want this whale to even consider buying bundles before the end of the year they need to do better. I really hope there is something we can do about it at some point. I didn’t start posting here to complain and moan. I have a wife for that.
