Just discovered "regs", is there any value of this over MUT?

Regs is just like picking up a controller and playing "play now" basically except vs humans. So you play with just a base team (and their up to date ratings/injuries) vs another human. No team customization or anything like that.  

Regs is also COMPLETELY free to play whereas to get the most out of MUT, you likely have to spend SOME money and/or put a ton of sweat into the game to stay competitive.

I haven't played it in a few years, but it is a time saver compared to MUT (no grinding, so 95% of your time is actually playing h2h). In MUT you customize the team, but in Regs the fun part is you customize your playbooks. I hopped back in regs for a month in M18 and a week in M21, you'll notice the difference in player skills, the comp level in not as good, so I prefer MUT.

The team upgrades and downgrades (EA adjust the ratings) during the NFL season  but that is universal for everyone using that team.
