Man I really dislike threads like these. Both talking football and basketball. We should talk about where we rank a player sure, but threads proclaiming a player is the GOAT or 2nd best only makes people not like the player as much. I like Mike Evans but now I’m gonna think of this thread every time I see him play. Simple eyeball test shows he’s not Rice or Moss or Calvin. Don’t care about numbers as much. Just ask ”Where does Evans rank among WR greats” or something next time we do this.
He's not better than Moss or TO.... so no, he'll won't be 2nd all time. Top of his generation, sure, but all time list... deff multiple receivers you'd take over him.
Thats not a MUT discussion, why is this thread still up

It’s not harder to hit 1000 yds in a season today than it was in Rice and Mosses primes. It was easier in Calvin’s prime which is why he went off almost 2k yds multiple time. So what is Evans the only one to do?
11 straight seasons with 1000 yard receiving
Passed Jerry rice
Its a record, so thread starter thinks he should get a "record breaker" LTD TOTW

The most talented WR of all time is likely Calvin Johnson
Unfortunately he played on bad teams and retired early
.
Moss and Rice were also very good, but they got to play with elite QBs
Rice play with Montana/Steve Young
Moss played with Cunningham/Brady
.
Calvin got Stafford, whos decent, but not elite
Why would anybody put Evans #2 all time? Hes not even top 20 and probably tough to argue he's even top 30 all time.
Not even in the conversation
i don’t think he’s top 2, you are either a fan of the bucs or is worshipping the guy like no tomorrow. His stats are good but Jerry Rice and Moss is the true #1 and #2. Heck Megatron, Steve Largent, Cris Carter, and Marvin Harrison is better than him. I would put him inside the top 10.

Why is Evans the only one?
Sounds like maybe you just dont like Evans...did he scorch you in fantasy this week?
I left him on the bench this week.......Thought Lamb & DK & Hill may score more points.
What a mistake!
Baker & Evans both had a nice week. Baker has been impressive this year.
When did they get a new offensive coordinator in Tampa? I remember the guy that gave Tom Brady fits. It was a rough last year for him.

Baker always had potential...
Same with Sam Darnold
These were former top picks, Baker was #1..Darnold was #3.
They are still young, I think they just needed the right system...they each have a solid 7-8 years left if they avoid injuries
They were drafted high for a reason, so always had potential to be pro bowlers
.
The next one who needs a career resurgence is Zach Wilson or Trey Lance
2021 was a cursed year for QBS
1 Trevor Lawrence...often injured
2 Zach Wilson - BUST
3 Trey Lance - BUST
11 Justin FIelds - BUST
15 Mac Jones- BUST.
.
That year also produced Jamar Chase and Micah Parson...who should have went #1 and #2 - both generational talents

Why are 5 of my items in Super large font...
What did I do? It wasnt that way when I typed it
EpicDude28 said:Looking at the list, I can see higher for Mike. It’s crazy how close some of the spots are. For example, if Mike Evans gets 3 more 1000+ yard season, he’s 3rd all-time. 2 more and he’s 8th. It just depends how long he can keep it up for. He’s still nowhere NEAR 2nd best ever even if he ends his career with the 3rd most receiving yards.
Did you sort by touchdowns?
He is #9 on the touchdown list. I did not realize he has 103 touchdowns.
If he plays a couple more years, he could be top 10 receiving yards and top 5 for touchdowns.
Those are HOF numbers.
Before yesterday, Mike Evans was tied for 48th with 52 REC, 29th with 749 YDS, 4th with 9 TDS, and 56th with a 14.4 AVG this year.
A long way from the 2nd best WR of all time.

Amazing how you read “all time” and decided to cherry pick one season where he missed multiple games and is still putting up pretty good numbers to try to prove your point.
is he 2nd all time? Hell no. But he will finish top 10 all time and if any of you don’t think so you are either clueless or a massive hater. Argue with a wall.
