Made the mistake of using rewards points through Sony to purchase Madden points for the wrong version (points were for PS4 I play PS5). Points disappeared into the ethos. I never got them. On either version.
Sony doesn't care cuz it was delivered. "Contact the publisher. "
EA doesn't care because they don't accept Sony proof of purchase only their own store.
Hours with both company support options went nowhere. They give zero phuqs

Microsoft has 100% better support. Sony's support is trash.
It sucks that your mistake ended up costing you. I agree that in a perfect world customer service would take care of their customers...but...I have found "the customer is always right" mentality is rare in all forms of business today. These companies (EA, Sony, Microsoft...heck...Walmart) are in the business to make money for the share holders. They did in your case...again...I do feel for you and it would have been a good customer service move for them to take care of you, but...I get why they either didn't, or make it so hard not everyone starts expecting satisfaction.

Did they really do what’s best for the shareholder? If they have already received payment, what difference does it really make if they grant him his points? Is 20 dollars really worth driving a lifelong customer away over to Microsoft or to quit gaming? Is that really in the best interest of the shareholder?
