In the past its people using promo jerseys (MF/harvest/ZC)
I think ZC is the first promo unis we've seen this year though yea?
I haven't played much H2H this promo, so I can't attest if that is still true or not this year since I haven't played much since the ZC unis have dropped.

Yeah, honestly I think the younger part of the player base is more inclined to use the themed jerseys and stadiums so that would make sense.

I'll tell you this I absolutely detest playing on the ZC field vs the blue ZC uniforms. I almost wanna quit immediately

True, it hurts my eyes. I will go for a quick score to see if I can get my opponent to quit but otherwise I quit normally. the design team was not cooking with that idea.
The Zero-Chill field should have been a standard outdoor field, maybe with an old-school small stadium look, and the special feature should have been that it is always snowing at that stadium and then when the Zero-Chill players "melt" it would stop snowing.

Like I said, there are just jerseys where if I load up and see that is what the other dude is repping I win almost every time. Some fan bases are harder to play than others.

My team is a Steelers TT and I always wear Steelers uniforms. You obviously haven't played my team.

This feels less reliable or consistent lately, maybe because kids are just getting the game and figuring things out. Rather than uniform, I typically assess an opponent's skill level based on which abilities they've applied.
There's real skill gap issues understanding which abilities even work, let alone how they work, as the sparse in-game descriptions aren't very helpful.
