Just lost to a child who said it's his "first game"

For starters, I consider myself to be a VERY good Madden player. I've won 6 Superbowls in head 2 head and have about a 78% winning record. I'm currently on legend. It seems like 99.9% of the games I lose are against terrible teams. I'm 1 game away from the playoffs .. And all of the sudden my opponents are coming in with terrible teams.. First player blows me out completely. His defense is like playing on All-Madden and mine is on rookie. I couldn't get any pressure against his 90 OVR rated team, and all of his receivers were wide open. Ended up quitting.

2nd game. Username is "DonaldTheDuck".. Highest rated player? 90. Rest of the team? 88 and under. Again, CPU is covering my receivers like white on rice.. He's consistently coming out in man.. So I bunch up and start running motion plays with CeeDee Lamb.. Got off 1 big one.. Then his d proceeds to completely shut everything down. I noticed he was doing some bad user play so I picked on him for a bit.. He caught on and moved to DT. After that, his CPU completely annihilated my mostly 96 OVR players. I had 2 picks which was used picks. But, if I didn't stop a play with my user, literally everything else was open against my 96 OVR rated CB's.

I had just lost 2 games in a row.. Against what seemed to be kids. They don't know adjustments, don't know football well at all it seemed to me. So I messaged Donald Duck and said "Careful, don't build a better team, you'll lose your boost". He responds; "Huh? What are you talking about? This is my first game, got it for a early Christmas present."

The reality sunk in. I was right. This was a child who just hopped on, ran random plays.. And destroyed me.. There is no purpose spending money on this game just for EA to have them play terrible. There's no point even getting better at the game. The realization that I've come to is EA could care less about anything but the bottom dollar. They know that if these newcomers get blown out, they don't continue to play. So they let them win.

What I really don't understand is.. Why not let the newcomers play each other? Why make the teams we've worked so hard to build, that we've spent so much money on.. Play worse? Essentially, not getting the team that we out right paid for. This, I consider to be lawsuit worthy if this is ever proven. 

I apologize for this long rant, and I know this has already been touched on. But it was bothers me.. Especially since EA won't admit to it. And also, how some people simply don't think it even exists. With no boosts, it should be next to impossible for a much lower OVR rated team to beat you.. If you're HALF way as good as your opponent, you should win with ease. I really wish there were another NFL game to play. But as for now, I'm going back to regs and going to enjoy playing as my Minnesota Vikings.

This thread is a great example of why my blood boiled playing h2h this year! the game is so inconsistent this year let alone horrible gameplay zones not workin, drop picks, running game is nerfed and so many more.

The game truly feels heavily predetermined, or at the very least to favor one side. I feel like sometimes it switches at half time to.. One half my opponent will be destroying me.. Next half, im destroying him. We're both doing the same plays, but some how have extremely different outcomes per half. Doesn't add up. And honestly, happens very consistently.

But here lately, when I see a bad team I'm just like man here we go. Usually I'm one game away from the playoffs and then all of a sudden my defense is terrible, offense is terrible, and my opponent is unstoppable. I honestly have better luck playing super teams. The DDA is just ridiculous to try to overcome.

I just seen on your previous post that you "spent money for the first time" I can see why you aren't complaining about the games DDA. it's on your side. 😂 If you haven't lost to a person with far less skill it's either because it's YOU getting the advantage, or, you just simply haven't researched what DDA is and know it's even a thing.

I think he's talking about the kid OP played, not responses in the thread.

One thing I don't get with the DDA stuff. What's EA's goal here? They boost bad teams and punish the better teams whose owners are presumably money spenders to accomplish what? Wouldn't that incentivize people to spend less because bad teams are OP? Wouldn't it also make the ones with the bad teams and "boost" NOT spend since they're crushing god squads? It seems like a great strategy to make LESS money. We all know EA strives to make as little money as possible...

yeah no i meant the young kid youre assuming just got the game for xmas. i think hes an adult and lying to agitate you further into believing in DDA

If players are just starting out, and they're getting destroyed every game by better teams.. They won't play the mode any longer. If they win, or the game is at least close.. They'll buy in to the logic that they can improve their team and increase their odds at winning. The longer you play the game, the more prone you are to buy packs. So EA wants close games.

Some people will spend money regardless. It's an addiction. They're constantly feeling like they're that 1 player away from winning another Superbowl. Completely ignoring the evidence that the DDA goes to insane levels so much so that sometimes it feels like you aren't in control whether you win or lose.

They're geniuses for coming up with this mode as it's genuinely a cash cow. But I can't help but to think that I really wish there was another football game we could play. Because they don't care about us as consumers. They don't care about making a good product.. All they care about at the end of the day is people buying packs. So as long as that's happening, there will be no changes.

But, again, if they're winning/doing well, why would they buy packs? And why would EA risk losing the guy with the expensive god squad to MAYBE get a new player, who hasn't spent a dime yet, to stick around?

Look, maybe this thing you believe (which isn't really DDA by definition, imo) is real, but I've been playing MUT for ~10 years now and EA couldn't code a functional tic-tac-toe game if the company depended on it, so I'm skeptical that the one thing they can do right is this "DDA" shit that doesn't even seem to make much sense when you think about it.
