The Zero-Chill field should have been a standard outdoor field, maybe with an old-school small stadium look, and the special feature should have been that it is always snowing at that stadium and then when the Zero-Chill players "melt" it would stop snowing.

If I go to call my first play, I'm evaluating the opponent's ability setup, if I'm seeing six or eight Zone KOs, as opposed to a bunch of Pick or LurkArtist, then I know I'm probably in for a fight.
It's less clear on offense, but a simple tell is the O-line. If your opponent isn't running ANY blocking abilities, that game probably won't be fair, or even close. There's a few basic requirements to make the game play well, which were only possible since Zero Chill... so that is where the huge skill gap enters. Learning what even works is a steep challenge.
