The platinum core elites are great to build your team around at this stage in the game IMHO

I know it's been said before, but these cards offer such great value.  For example, 84s are going for around 32k on PS4. I just bought two platinum 84 CBs for 44k and 41k!  Regular 84s will depreciate, but I get to use these great cards and get paid to do it! 84 platinum cards QS for 44k. 

To be fair, this is one of those situations where the rich only get richer as you need coins to do this in the first place. After all, I'm sinking 44k into this CB for however long, but I'd rather sink 44k and have no possibility of depreciation vs spending 32k and face the real possibility of depreciation.

Yep this is how I built my team last year, and again this year.

There are SO many times you can find the plat cards for UNDER their quicksell value.  I purchased my entire o-line, 85 Derwin, 84 Kamara, 84 Chin and 84 Kearse all for under their quicksell values.  Can basically have a decent starting team and actually make coins on it.

The platinum bundles @ the start of the year have made doing this great.  So many people opening those have lead to some great finds on the AH

I started doing this last year and this year. Im glad I remembered to do that lol. Cuz when I go to update them I can sell them. I think the most I paid for one of these rentals will be like 9k on my Steelers 40/50 TT.
