Im having a problem with this play. The fullback is supposed to run a route but most of the time he just stops and starts blocking or something. Is he supposed to do this or is it a glitch?

Pretty sure he's on a check and release. If there is a blitz sent in, or a free rusher, the hb or fb will stop the route and block. Once they start to block, they will not really run the route so find a different receiver as your x read immediately!
