What playbook has the best man coverage play. Please tell me the teams playbook, the formation, and the name of the play. Also, I will throw my lineup link in here so you can see my DB's and please tell me what abilities I should be running for man coverage. https://www.mut.gg/lineup-builder/
Every play book has "cover 2 man" and "cover 1 robber" out of Nickel ,the difference is just how you like your front to look like. Shade overtop presnap is pretty important if you dont want to get thrown deep on. Don't pass commit this year.

Ok, is that all I need to do, just shade overtop or is there anything else I can do to make it lockdown?

There is an extensive lot more but like what are your goals? (Like are you offline player, first time player, just getting used to H2H trying to take a scheme online, already good with a 90+ squad and just want more help) ?
Im an online player been playing mut 23 since the day it came out my team is an 89 ovr and im really wanting to know how to run man coverage to the point where my opponet cannot throw the ball without it being picked or incomplete. I have been destroyed by 88 speed and lower CBs covering 91 speed megatron and 90 speed carmichael, I am wanting to know how to do the same thing

Im not a fan of sitting in one coverage the whole game because if you play someone who knows how to beat it you just lose....but that is not the answer you are looking for lol
-so first you need high man to man stat corners. They higher the stat the better they play. Get the purple strat card that boost man and for both your offense and def strat card make sure it has Lock as the secondary chem to boost man +1. They fixed it so now you need to have 2 components.
-No one under 6ft, I am not a fan of the Revis card for example since Man to Man is susceptible to agg catching right now.
-shade over top globally and then go into practice mode and learn how to adjust each corner induvial without having to move to the selected player to hot route them. for example you can outside shade your corner on the strong side or boundary to stop corners on one side and take your user and guard the other corner route. Shade under is really good to after halftime once you know all the plays your opp likes to run but you have to know what you are doing and be good with your user because its an easy 1 play if you press an unbumpable route.
- Put on abilities such as man knockouts, pick artist/tipdrill combo, or inside shade(I think with the nerf you can only get 3 now) if you plan to only play man to man.
That's like the starter kit. Your user needs to be good and you have to position yourself to deter the initial read and get to the second read in time. You also will need to be good at stopping the run out of your base set bc if you cant they wont get out of it. You can mable up a side(zone on each layer) and guard the other side with your user .Or put a CB matched up against an outside apprentice wr on a deep blue if they keep throwing the C route. Things to watch out for after all this is, most ppl are fully equipped to stop man with abilities and plays. due to the heavy blitz meta. Look up how to stop agg catch if they show they know how to throw it correctly to rocket catch.

So you're hoping there's a failsafe cheat code. So, man to man is the META. Of course, it's the META because it can be effective. The downside, is every player that wants to be good online is going to find ways to beat the META.
Some routes just beat m2m by design. Those routes, and combination of those routes, are going to be your better opponent's schemes. The goal every year for most madden players is to find a route combo that beats the AI in 2 places so you throw where the user isn't. So, your strategy will have to adjust in game to take away some of those reads. For example, when people have WR apprentice, or hot route master, they can put an outside receiver on a "C" corner route. If given enough time, that will beat m2m every time, especially if you're pressing. So, if your opponent is doing that, then you have to put that corner on an outside 3rd instead of playing straight m2m. The downside is if they're doing a post, it's gonna be open, so that's gonna be your user responsibility if you dont put an inside third somewhere.
If you want to beat m2m better, then you're going to also find the routes that create separation. Or add route chems to Carmichael. But honestly, I high-point throw it to him and he goes up and gets it enough times.
I personally don't like pressing my CBs. Lots of people do. But every now and then, the CB will get totally beat on a failed press attempt and will leave the streak wide open -- in fact, if someone presses my WRs, that's my first read.

Honestly im not that great of a player so when I see someone press on me, that is my only read. Sometimes I throw it up to someone no matter how many DBs are on him. What would you run if the user is covering the C route?
