Got Floyd so I can run edge threat with double or nothing on him. Got a guy with defensive rally as well. T sizz with edge threat and unpredictable on the other side.
Basically zero sacks without blitzing unless the opponent is bad.
They do well when I send 6 but at that point any pass rushers do well.
Feels like a waste
could be a formation issue maybe? did whoever you had previously get sacks from that spot?
Also he is only 240 pounds.. might not be heavy enough.
He didn't play for me either. Constantly got stood up. Julius Peppers played better for me as a pass rusher.
I have no idea how you guys are using him but he's in the backfield virtually every play for me using a 4 man rush. I pulled him and was gonna sell straight away because I run a 40/40 legends team. Someone suggested edge threat and DON. First game he hit the QB four straight times. Last time my opp rushed the throw and threw a pick to me, then quit, then DM'd me saying he couldn't get away from Floyd , there was no point in playing further. That was before Seymour with defensive rally. And since then he's been an animal for me.
I think DE's are the way to go this year with pass rush too, and I have been saying that, Floyd is the exception. What formations are you running?
If your opponent had edge protector maybe that slowed Floyd down ? I dunno but I have a 93 OVR defense and that card is my star on Defense....
Do you run 3-4 or 4-3? Do you run mainly nickel or dime/dollar?
Sounds like its formation and if the O has EP on
IMO Floyd is best current edge rusher. Not sure how he is in coverage. I user him off the edge and he is best in class for that.
Can verify he is a beast even on my legends tt with DON and edge threat. He really comes to life with Seymour 0ap defensive rally. Currently running blitz heavy 4-3 out of Nickel formations from Raiders playbook.
All of the above comment, but also ppl transitioned form cover 0 blitz to this. Good players are ingrained to get the ball out quick as we have had to deal with cover 0 blitzes all year and have all the abilities on wr/te to do so. I have Identifier and can tell which blitz they are sending based on formation and just throw away from the user. It might not be that your Floyd does not work but just that your elo is to the point where you arent playing bad ppl who hold the ball for 4 secs and wait for someone to be wide open in order to throw.

This makes a lot of sense, I hadn't really thought about it but usually I don't get sacked once in a game. Playing against all those blitzes has really hardened everyone against pass rush
