I have a crap ton of players from all sorts of different teams that are low-ish golds. Should I put them in as backups and start a TT? If so what team should it be?

You could always do a mix, but it would take some time. I personally run a 50/50 Cowboys team and i think it's pretty good. I'm not the best player but i still win over half the games i play. Here on mut.gg you can look up the best theme teams. Here's my lineup if you're interested. It may change a little if Too Tall has DT chem but this is what it is right now.
