Have you guys had any luck with Merlin on the outside with edge threat/DON?

Honestly, on paper he looks great...I have him in the lineup as DT 3 and make him RLE #1 so he gets his chems and he rushes from the edge in nickel, dime, etc sets...

But frankly, I think Clay Matthews 93  w the same abilities, TOTW Floyd w same abilities but 1 AP more, and Jason Taylor with 0Ap unpredictable and 2AP Double or nothing all seem to have been more effective

I thought there were no penalties for playing OOP  but maybe there are? Clearly they meant for Merlin to be used on the outside as well otherwise why give him discounted edge threat?

I really wanted Olsen to be a monster along w Donald on the other side but sadly, he has not been that effective.

I thought that but I checked the abilities and only one game had an EP tackle and that was on Donald's side. He still dominated. I also swapped sides; put Merlin at RE and Donald at LE and same thing. Donald was a beast and Olsen was somewhat invisible

I think that's a good call. I also think Clay is really effective but watching 2 number 99's converge on the QB is cool.

How do you like him? I need some new edges with L and cant decide if I should go for it.

I jumped all over olsen when he dropped thinking the same, discounted DON and edge threat so I put him at dt3 but at right edge rusher and he never got to the Qb… prolly something with ea coding guys out of position but I went back to clay Mathew’s and was back to getting pressure on that side again…… hope this helps

Dude that's EXACTLY what I did. But I wanted to save a little AP so I went to Jason Taylor with unpredictable and DON. He gets there as much as Clay did. Just happens that Donald usually beats everyone else to the QB LOL

He's great. He's tall and fast and he has a variety of pass rush moves . I always see his card light up and he makes a lot of plays

So if you had to rank since I havent played with any of the 3 yet, where would you rank Taylor/Donald/Olsen?
