Slot CB- still using Aeneas

I have used lots of top CBs. I have Woolens LTD and Haynes. Just got Deion. 

I put acrobat on Aeneas for 2 AP. I know hus card is a little older by now but he still plays really well in the slot. I thought about Woolen in the slot and Aeneas as #4, I also have Revis and Woodson, and a few others..... but I'm not sure I should change.

I wanna use new cards to try them out and get variety but it's hard to go away from someone who is playing really well

Do you guys have cards like that,  whigh are a little older but just play better than newer cards with supposedly better stats?

I like him a lot in the slot (hes even a slot archetype, *gasp*) and he plays well. 

I mean were to that point where were hitting the 90s thresholds so the only real thing is going to be speed/accel, etc that increases (or height/weight). By Christmas, a lot of those 94+ will probably hit what teh bare min is needed for them. Even linemen... If you can get a guy like Ogden whos big, good enough stats, and 1 AP EP, thats pretty much endgame card anyway.

NTL plays good… I have Deion CB1 and Ramsey CB2

I feel like I do with Jaire Alexander in the slot.  He is so aggressive and plays better than any slot corner I've used this year.  I might try Aeneas because that would help me with the Legends chemistry and I'm sure he probably plays better than Jaire.

That happens to me every year. I end up buying a lot of the “shiny new toys” but then revert back to the old reliable even if they don’t look as good on paper.  

Most recently I thought maybe I should actually get a real TE instead of using Nightmare. Bought Delanie Walker, used him for one day, sold him and went back to Nightmare. Also tried Pitts at one point and didn’t like him either.

Interesting why you dont like them for TE. Any reason?

Ahh see, it really is preference. I agree with you on Pitts....Metzelaars has been a dominant force for me. By far the best TE I have used this year. But I have always been a Delanie fan.....but I like a possession TE who can block and he has 91 run block I think Delanie always plays well for me at TE 2 , where he blocks and runs short possession routes.

but yeah, to your point,  I find myself throwing Dickerson in at HB a lot still, Cromwell is still my SS even after other cards like Derwin came out......Aeneas always plays well for me. Certain cards are just like that.

It is so tempting to swap him out with Woolen because 6'4" with speed and jumping but why mess with a good thing?

Yep. Once you hit threshholds it is more about size, traits, abilities and preference. Ogden is a dominant force

It’s going to sound crazy but Nightmare gets better separation for me. I put the TE on streaks pretty frequently and somehow he gets down the field faster and moves better. He’s gotten better separation on corner routes and drags, I don’t know if it‘s because of his smaller frame or maybe better agility? His run blocking is amazing and Honorary Lineman for 1AP has also been really effective mostly on outside runs.

Side note, now that I think about it I’m also still using TE Tremaine Edmonds at FB and he does the job EXTREMELY well.

That honorary lineman is amazing. Its why I keep Hines Ward in the lineup. He gets it for 1 AP as well.

I haven’t tried Metzelaars but I would like to unless we get a Vernon Davis some time soon. I really wanted Delanie to be the guy he just didn’t do anything in the pass game. If I had a big enough coin stack I absolutely would put him at TE2, just can’t afford the price tag right now.

I agree Cromwell still plays great and I fully support sticking with cards that play well for you. No reason to switch until there is a REASON to switch. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

Also I’ve got Ty Law in the slot and he is always making plays for me. I wish he could get Acro for 2AP like Aeneas does though.

Yes! I was surprised by how well it works this year. I tried it a couple times last year and felt like it never did anything.

The thing with Metzelaars is, he can block, he can run, he can break tackles, and he's 6'7". He can stiff arm with the best of them. Acrobat for 2 AP is awesome. Between Aeneas and Ed Reed, some great plays are made with that ability

Yeah Metz is crazy good, he was the best run block TE till Walker came out but Metz is also much bigger and better catching as well. Hes a Parham that can block too. I hope we get a Gentry GT cuz that would be nuuttsssss. 

Yeah A Williams is already crazy good plus 2AP Acro just plays like CB last year did.
