Listen,  they're all decent cards but we're at Blitz  now  aND cards need to stand out to be  better than what's out there.  Disregarding TT, None of these cards make a high quality squad. There's not even a backup level card here for me. Adrian is the only one I'd even consider getting

Completely agree but more often than not, people arent running God Squads. 

Most people running full BND teams, then TT, then lastly Gods. Its very minority. So no, not all cards were. your only real upgrades are going to be the occasional legend, OOP or big drops like Master Harvest or ZC Masters, etc.

I get it but I do have cards that I like to use that are not considered 'G-d" tier cards...Last year I loved Pollard's TOTY card but they did him dirty this year. I was running with Carmichael and sometimes still do....that's already an older card. I still start Metzelaars at TE1 even though newer, shinier cards have come out. I just don't like these particular cards very much...and it's not like these TOTW cards are very affordable. The 93's from last week were in the 700K range so these aren't accessible for most people

Apparently they updated his catching but havent seen it. 

And you forget because theres thresholds, once you cross it, it doesnt matter. So take Carmichael or Megatron. Both hit most if not all the 90s thresholds and tall. Besides speed, theres not a real reason to get better cards. Thats why Elway is a God and really wont be beaten till we get some either stupid OP QB like Henry was or something like that. He has the best of everything. Hes even a better card than Rodgers since somehow he can run better than Rodgers and his AP and he meets all thresholds.

Megatron and Carmichael aren't better because of threshholds, they're better because of animations.  Carmichael at 90 speed is more dominant than a 94 speed receiver because it is a Man meta and he flat dominates phyiscally, His height and ability to shrug off tackles make him better. Same with Megatron.

And same w Elway vs Rodgers. First, Elway gets 99 THP....but forgetting that, and the AP savings, running ability, etc.....there are factors. traits, and animations built into these cards that we don't see on the face of the cards.

Example, I like throwing outs at the first down marker when my opponent plays off or over the top coverage. It's not often used but I do it a lot and it frustrates the heck out of people. So I will smart route Moss or Julio, or Carmichael even on the short side, on an out . 3rd and 5, I run a 5.2 yard out. On the break, if the CB is playing behind even a step, I zip a bullet pass to the sideline.  Elway's release and velocity are so fast that ball gets there right on time. Unless the CB and defense are set up a very specific way this is unstoppable. Yet when I used A-Rod, half the time that ball was a yard deeper than Elway throws it. And I had those throws picked , out of bounds, or off target a lot of the time.

In theory with the same abilities, Elway and Rodgers should make the eaxct same throw, the same arc, same ball path and position. But they didn't. And I tried this like 20 times with Rodgers.

It's the same with certain cards. Threshholds go out the window. Stats go out the window. Some cards just play different. You know this and anyone that has played Madden for a while knows it. Donald , LT, these cards are unstoppable.  Even LT's 89 played better than almost all my pass rushers that had better threshholds. Monk doesn't drop a ball. B Dawk always seems to make a big hit. Both Woodsons are great examples. Bettis plays above his stats.....Look at Surtain. Great stats but last yr and this year, the card just doesn't animate.

I don't put a ton of stock in threshholds. For me it is size, traits, and just how the card feels in game...it is why I get every card I can and try them out. Sometimes I am surprised and sometimes disappointed. I actually am loving Chinn as a user which I did not think would happen. I built Emmet Smith thinking he'd be great but that card was awful.

Niners TT already had steve young but Jimmy has a really good release so im excited to try him out.

I mean I agree to a point for sure. The animations and things you dont see unless they hit certain thresholds. Traits are important, but not be all end all. Now your playstyle may reflect that, but most people dont. Theyll play just fine for most people. 

Thats why you see people say Elway is awful because theyre playing bad players so its not used correctly. Its not a bad card, people just dont play the way they should or they arent good enough to pay where it should. Thats why all advice is usally overall and what does it. I use those 2 because they are top of the line, and if you like to block then Megatron and Bmarsh are your top 2 and 3rd. Theyre all 6'5+, over 210 lbs, all RR thresholds. Carm doesnt animate like Megatron does but its all in that vacinity. And youre right, people like LT/Sapp get these extra special things nobody else can.

Sold Pat Pete after building him dirt cheap last week, so hoping Casey Hayward gets down to rental to use him until PP's price drops back down.  The 0 AP pick artist is nice.

Would love to use Stevie J for the memories, but his abilities are meh.  Hoping he gets a better card (doubtful, but ya  never know) later in the year.

Certain traits are huge though......drops open passes, what pass rush moves a guy uses, plays ball in air (even overriding in coaching adjustments does not change this as much as one would think), clutch - especially on QBs, etc.  I mean, if you are down 3 and have the ball with 2 minutes left , you're really gonna qant a QB with the clutch trait, It affects his accuracy, various other things on him, it affects O line blocking, etc.
