Hey y’all,
I just bought the game for the first time in a couple years and I don’t plan on spending any money really. What solos should I start with? And what other advice could you give me to overall play better and get a better team. Thank you.

First of all, welcome! It's always great to see more people getting the game for the first time or for the first time in a long time. For the solos, I would highly recommend the Team Captain and Team Diamond solos to start with. This is because it will allow you to highly upgrade your chosen Team Captain player. I would also recommend doing the AKA solos, as we are just about to get a BND (account bound) AKA player of our choice for free (as long as you do the challenges.) I would also recommend doing the Harvest and Most Feared solos because of the limited-time Field Passes associated with those challenges. Corners and Safeties are extremely important as the last thing you want is for your guys to get burned on the outside for easy touchdowns.
Also, for the AKA challenges, while you can go for all of the stars for the extra coins and packs, if you strictly want the BND player that is available next week, you can do the challenges on the lowest difficulty to finish it easier.

What team captain do you recommend?

A lot of people consider the DT to be the best Team Captain, but I went with Eric Allen (the corner) and he has been great for me, especially because of how important corners are. While he is a little undersized, for a starter team he is fantastic.

Start with Keyshawn or Eric then later once your team is forming swap to Sam

You should definitely do totw challenges first. They are really quick and they give you a bnd player every week. An example would be that last week there is a 87 plus bnd and this week there will be a 88 plus bnd. After that you should do legend challenges
The only way to level is through the passes, so make sure you see EXACTLY what you need to do and go from there to get those levels.
I would go Captain Challenges (at least get him to 88 for now, TD has the second set to get them to 91 [IF YOU DONT START WITH ADAMS AND GO KJ OR ALLEN, MAKE SURE TO TAKE ALL TOKENS OUT]> TOTW > AKA (only need 1 star for every solo for card on Wed) > get your MF/Harvest passes up at the same time. Save all your packs for ZC at this point for the ones you do get. Then legends will give you some nice base players as well (start with current weeks and go backwards for highest free pup/1 upgrade card).
