Is ZCV bad in Madden?

I'll play guys that just seen to burn me constantly. I've noticed its alot of corner routes or routes that break off towards the outside for instance right formations and the bench play. Their wr will be wide open 😆 for a big gain or a td. I mainly run ZCV but have started to use more mcv to try and combat this. Do these guys just know how to pass against certain zone defenses or is the game bad at ZCV? I'm on old gen and it does seem like zcv is a little softer this year but of course when I'm passing the ball I have trouble getting big passing plays. I'll user a safety and cover whichever wr is breaking to the outside on one side but then I get bombed on the other side. Cover 2,cover 4,cover 3 and cover 6 they all get bombed on. Mcv and blitzing is about the only thing that seems to slow some players down and hoping to knock the ball out is about the only things I can think of that helps.

Zone got nerfed a few years ago (around with LB jumping by themselves without lurker). Its just not as good anymore.

I can see why people run mcv so much. Its just frustrating when guys are wide open for a big gain or td 😆.  I remember we could double team guys years ago, I dont think we can do that now.

Zone isn't perfect, but you can still run an elite zone defense with the right abilities and adjustments.  Running anything stock is a recipe to get carved up even by a relatively competent player.  You need to make adjustments in coverage and set zone drops to take away what your opponent seems to be going to most.  Even good players typically only have a few go to route combos.

Zone is not good but if you use the coach adjustment wisely then it'll work. Man is inconsistent for me and if i run it too many times my corners will get burnt for sure. There are just too many man beating routes. Try to mix them.
