Anyone else thinking season 3 will not start until January? Maybe with so many new players getting the game for Christmas, EA waits to drop the season after that. Also...during zero chill, does EA pause TOTW?

No that would screw the cycle up. They want you to be behind so you get engagement time or buy packs.
They usually take a break from TOTW around Christmas for a week or two and then have a big one when it comes back. Then shortly after is TOTY
