As I am from Europe, I grew up with football being the sports where you actually, you know, use your feet to move the ball. Being Dutch, I also know I have to be careful here to talk too much about our recent victory in the last 16. Anyway, now that the USMNT has left the tournament, any of you still watching the FIFA World Cup? Bold predictions? Favorite players?
I have to go with France winning the tournament, and have a soft spot for Argentina and Messi. But obviously I hope the Netherlands wins tomorrow, and Tuesday, and the Sunday after.
PS: banter aside, I love (gridiron) football, almost as much as I like poking the bear. The name just makes no frickin sense.
