Starting H2H game with x-factor activated

Forgive me this is obvious, but I'm new to madden in this year, and I can't seem to figure it out.

Sometimes when we begin a head-to-head match, my opponent has all of his x factors already activated without a single play having occurred yet.

I tried to do this using the selfless ability, but that doesn't do it. What am I missing?

If he has a AKA ability it will automatically start on

He probably has some aka cards that can get X factors that start off activated

Also there is a Momentum/stadium factor that when active grant every xfactor on the side of the ball that either got a take away or score a td.  if randomly you see your opponents whole team light up.

Yeah, but that is after play has begun. These incidents are occuring at the onset of the match

Aka Tom Brady has selfless as an xfactor, which starts the game activated, which means all other players with xfactors will also start activated.
