I'd go with Ogden since they're similar and you won't have to power him up to get the ability discount.

I hear you but I have Thomas PU already so that isn't really an issue. It is really about who is more effective- there's really no other consideration for me

I kept Ogden at LT and put Joe Thomas at RT. It has worked out so far.

I hear you but I am really happy w Larry Allen at RT with 1 AP Secure Protector and Joe Thomas does not get secondary RT like Larry Allen does

Lifeguard? It got nerfed a while ago. It's far less effective than EP, which is the only thing (besides SP) that stops edge threat...Thomas and Ogden both get 1 AP EP
